Oh Melissa, Smoochie's coloring sure is different. Yes, I get similar vibes from Gabby. Gabby is a smoocher also. She wandered into my life when she was about 3 years old and immediately became my best friend. She is my shadow. It is amazing how much I love that cat. Smartest cat I have known too. My husband hated her at first but she has totally won him over thru just loving persistence. Her belly almost touches the floor as she walks, much like mine. LOL. We are 2 of a kind. I bet Jake has a special place in your heart. What a terrible beginning but a great ending for him. So what are boils?????? LOL!

Oh Neal, how nice are you! When I discovered Dave's I also discovered how much I like to take pictures and look at them! I spend lots of time trying! I am thinking I may take a class so I know what I am doing.

You are so right Sherry, you can't have a short cut to the contest. I hadn't noticed that before! I was just looking at Betty's winning datura. What a shot. All the datura shots makes me want to grow a few of those purple ones next year!

Thanks Sharon! I love my courtyard too! It may be small but I sure get a lot in. I also can change totally how it looks every year. I am already planning my color combos.

Kell, Smoochie came to us via the pound as an adult too. She is a great cat, but has one really bad habit of wanting to sleep on heads. It is ok for Jeremy and me, and even Sydney pushes her off when she gets too obsessive, but Tori can't move her and it freaks her out.

The boils thing was a joke about the fact that we had had drought, an invasion of Mormon Crickets, floods then the river went down and we got 5 inches of snow (here on the valley floor) someone had said something like "what next? Raining frogs." Referring to the 10 plagues of the bible. I am NO bible expert, but i am pretty sure boils was one of the 10 plagues, along with some other nasty stuff...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. OH YES!! The Sixth Plague! Well lets hope you have had enough plagues for now!

We have a cat that does that oo, Molly Mouse. She loves Tom so much! She drapes herself over his head in bed. Cats are great, aren't they?

Congrats, Kell! Love your photos and your cat!

Tombaak, love your Smoochie and Jake too! God Bless you for rescuing Jake:-)

Congrats again to all the winners. I must say, Kell, that your votes are well deserved. I am in awe of the shots that you and your camera take; I love all the detail. I can't imagine them improving, even with classes!

I love the cats' coloring. Reminds me of "brindle" coloring...so pretty. I must take pictures of the "brat pack"...my three kitties...

Myrtle Beach, SC

Awww, so cute. I love kittens and cats. They definitely rule the house !! My lil Precious puppy won't share with my other baby...my Chinchilla named Dusty. (Jack bought Dusty for me when I was so sick I was confined to my bed for 90 days after surgery that went wrong and got infected.) He is 2 yrs old and such a ham...runs for miles on his wheel and flips around in circles in his dust bowl. Chinchillas do not ever get wet. They bathe in a bowl of chin dust.....looks like a small tornado coming out of his cage :)) Precious thinks he is a rodent and likes to attack him the way she does those ugly little ground moles in the yard, ugghhhh nasty lil things ! God bless, Margo
