Thank you Scooterbug!! Yours is so beautiful... Your pics with the snow and the darling lil bird is what inspired me to get one. I was taken away by the beautiful bloom color.
I'm so happy today.. I talked to my new Maya like she was a Goddess.. I've never been so tickled over a plant ever! My kids think I'm nutz.. All day I've been sayin "Maya OH Maya" "Maby we'll go to Hawaya"... they just shake their head..

I got my cross seeds from Brenda today... nice looking and packed in bubble wrap..I wish I'd ordered a maya also... although I do have two.. one cutting and one large tree... but seeing yours and remembering how nice it is... Surely three of them isn't too many.. LOL..

That's a really nice looking Maya you got!
Maya is really a winner in my eyes also. For me Maya did really well in her second year and fantastic in her third year.
I hope she fills your summer with Loads of Blooms.

Oh Linda, you are welcome!! I am so glad Maya did well for you. I think a lot of people now have my California grown Maya! Mine is a great one so I am glad!

A big Thank you to Heavinscent for this thread!

Thank you Linda.

Thank you Kin... I couldn't believe I pulled such a big plant out of that shipping tube, barely even wilted at all. I love it so much, I think if I saw a bud on it, I'd faint. LOL

Kell, I printed the picture of your Maya from the plant files in full robust bloom just to gawk at the awesome color. It is so beautiful. Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of people have yours.. that is so cool.

Waiting for spring is not so hard now... You all have to know how hard it is to look at all the pics on here and just WAIT for your own? Nah.. just couldn't do it. Patience is a virtue I just don't have sometimes! LOL

I thought I'd post a picture of Maya now that she is a little more stable.. I've had her almost 2 weeks.. she lost some of her big leaves, but I don't mind, she is over the shock now and I thought I'd compare pics.

I got an email asking '''what is a California grown Maya ?''

A maya is a maya , they are all clones of the one and only one parent Maya.

ZZ, great plant. Hope you love it as much as I love mine. This will be year 3 for mine, and it's getting to be a good size.

A kong coleus self seeded in my Maya pot, they made a good combination.
