How many members for the new year?

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

The new year is drawing near. How many members do you think we will have for the new year?At the moment we have 194,710 and that could change before I get this post finished. You think we will make 196,000 or more before tomorrow night?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Hmmmm....I think we'll have 195,150.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Hey Peggy and Joan :) Remember this thread when dave set off the fireworks? What fun that was !

I remember that Dea! I didn't post to that thread though. I wonder why? I must have had a sore throat or something. LOL

Alexandria, IN(Zone 6a)

I guess 194,802. How many posts will there be in the final hour of 2005?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

It just occurred to me that 200,000 isn't that far off either. Dea, you'd better give Dave a nudge so he can be thinking about how to outdo his last milestone celebration.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

We are just leaving our office, but I gotta say, those fireworks were memorable !!

Fun times, eh ? :)

Edited to say: I've got zip nudge power with dave; that would be Trish's bag ;)

Dea, you have much more nudge power than you know! (But not as much as Trish does, who has more nudge power than any person on earth) :-)

Dea I sure remember that. I think every year is a milestone with DG, we need fireworks every year.

Ok, 2 questions, lol. Where do you go to see how many members there are, and how many of those members are subscribers?

Inquiring minds are nosy!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

You can click on MemberList at the top to see how many there are, but I don't know how to tell how many are subscribers.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks mgh! Now for the second part??

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

If membership were 50 or 50,000,000 I would still be grateful to have this place to come to learn, be inspired, chat with friends, and marvel at the diversity and peaceful nature of this place. I just received my Select Seeds catalog and they are advertising that they are a Garden Watchdog top 30 company. DG is real evidence that there is power in kindness.

best in 06, my vote is for 200k!

Here are all the subscribers:

4,625 subscribers...

Well said Doc!

And how cool is that? Advertising as a GWD Top 30? Yeehaw!

mg

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks Dave!

I could be much more nosy and ask what is the renewal rate, but I guess I will leave you alone, lol. For now.

mg

Well, you didn't ask, and I don't even have that information. I'd say that "most" people renew. It's hard to gauge that, though.

The Tour lists our current membership at 199,791.
http://davesgarden.com/about/index.php?page=tour

The MemberList link shows 199,944 members.

Which is more accurate? The reason I ask is 200,000 is so close! See this for predictions:

The tour is on a slight lag. The Memberlist is real-time accurate ;o)

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Which one of the memberlist totals, lol?

I just found 2.

Oy.

Shrug. That's a question for Dave - I thought he had these synchronized (I reported the discrepancies a few days ago ;o)

I'd say the best number to use is the straight-up Memberlist - whatever number shows up when you click on that link.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks Terry!

Getting close!

mg

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Yep!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Sniff, Sniff. I'm having some issues, and can't refresh, will someone please post on the 200,000th member thread in general discussion when it's getting close? I'll keep checking that one. I'm not getting updates to my watched threads, my fun random picture is stuck, and I still see 199,725 members. I've changed computers and done all the refresh tricks, and I'm afraid I'm going to miss the big event.

The only thing I can do at this point is post and read.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

199,902 or 200,068 right now.

Almost or Whooo Hooooo?

mg

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

199,902 is what I get too, plus a painfully slow website!

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

I counted back.......I may have been #36 (or so)--how cool is that??!!:)

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)
