Wishlists for second easter trade (mid May)

It's getting closer and closer! I think we should check our wishlists in this thread and add any last minute wants we've come up with. It's still early enough to add a few recent finds, don't you think? I'm having so much fun getting ready!

Really, there are so many out there, that every time I look, I see new ones I want. It's all good. : ) I have noticed the varigated ones don't grow as easily for me. I have tried about 10 Allegro Mabel Joy leaves and I have one teeny baby plant to show for it. Does everyone else have that problem with varigated AVs?

You sound like me, Pam. I've yet to see one that I just would not want. Everytime someone posts a picture of a new AV, I think, "Well, I've gotta have THAT one!" LOL
I can't be of much help with the variegated leaves. I have a few down, but it hasn't really been long enough for them to be putting up ears yet, so I can't judge them yet.

I always want each one I see ! Do you know there are over 30 thousand AV's ! Just not all in FC /
I have little room but enjoy growing by leaf and sharing !

Wow! 30 thousand! That's a whole lot! Off to figure up how many shelves I'll need and start measuring for them...LOL

With the variegated leaves, sometimes the plant will have some leaves that have more green in them, and those are generally easier to root & propagate simply because they have more chlorophyll.

It would be nice if folks who haven't posted their wish lists would because I am afraid that I will be sending duplicates to my bunny! ;-((

Allison, me too, I don't have a huge collection so I am bound to be happy w/ what I get but others who have a good sized collection will possibly get dups, :-((
Of course they can always save them for the next trade!

Also, please remember we've got a thread for posting your "haves" list.... Looking at what somebody has in their AV collection is a good way to see what they like or what they might be "missing" as well as being a good way to check to see whether you'd be sending them duplicates.

As much as I love Allison I wouldn't want to be her secret bunny, I know I'd be duplicating everything! Actually as I was reviewing lists today it looks like it Lorry isn't too far behind!

Oh I don't know you had a pretty long list!!!

My list is short and shorter everyday as I am giving 85 percent maybe 99 percent of all babies away. I can't take care of them and no room yet I can grow babies at an extreme rate.( I think God helps me do so as he likes me sharing but all leaves down and babies are grown to share !!) But I won't be buying anymore. I will be putting down leaves from plants I have, or get in trade and leaves people send me and might buy a leaf here and there but this is it.
All afternoon I have been more asleep than awake how most my days are lol going to take night pills now. No packing today :((
But anyways I don't have many plants that I keep as my own. I grow by leaf plants and give them away. I have given so many hundreds maybe 600 to DG friends sense Nov 2005 and hundreds of leaves. Lots of the people have never posted on this forum and some hardly on any forum, lots with poor health. But when I posted last FREE boxes of plants I left it open to all paid memeber from all forum so I have been sending out as many boxes each week sense that we can. But sorry folks can't do any packing today :(( Tomorrow I hope and pray to get Jill's trade box it's a big one exciting ! I've been growing babies for her a long time ! , box of leaves mini for pam :)) thats the easy part. And some boxes of plants for paid people even back from JAN, FEb catching up so many people paid that lived in cold area.
As soon as I can I will write the names down Lorry. I did get a big beautiful Chimmera love it ! Thank you. The babies were stone dry and needed tender loving care. I potted and wicked them in new 2 inch pots and watered their doing good before I layed down !

Oh ouch...Jill siad hers were dry also..I wonder if I should have rewatered before they left :( I watered them the day before they left/

I was wondering if postal service left them in the heat ?? But they were insolated good ? We took them in here ASP . and opened right away I wanted to see what I got ! A blooming Chimera. And I poted all up and watered slow amounts !

They may have. I don't know.

Lorry they were limp when I got them yesterday like a wet noodle. I managed to put the each into new pot and soil, wicked before having to lie down and this morning they are all purky and happy ! I'll get to the list !

Oh good! I am rellieved they are better hun :)

Sport of Funambule >> I have done study on this Chimera and it has been named and registered as a Ma's variety.
I also got baby plants of Rob's Fuzzy Navel Smokey Echoes, Silly Girl, Andother one with real nice variegation and I think it was Rob's if I think about it might remeber it's name I forgot to write name when I trans-planted it. Maybe Lorry can remember.
I also got a cute little Crypiathus pup !
And leaves Shy Blue, Rob's Red Rooster, Little Ruby, Little Amythus,
Sorry Pixie Blue and Dancing Prinsess did not make it :((
