What's Up with DG Stores?

About 3 years ago, there was the opportunity to open a "Store" right here on DG. I opened one and so did about 30 other folks - what happened to them? I don't see a link to the list of them anymore - I still have mine up and have a sale every now and then.

The feature wasn't very successful. There were few stores setup by actual people wanting an actual store. The number was really much less than 30 actual "real" stores. It just wasn't worth all the time and effort I spent developing and supporting it. That time was better spent working directly on DG and so I stopped allowing new store signups.

That what I taught about to wondering what happen to Sci-Store that I was just about going to use but now I notice this not do anymore and I understand oh well.
