successive posts running rampant?

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

My goodness...I keep seeing quite a few threads with multiple posts in succession by posters. Is there a glitch in the system or is it running slow for some folks, thereby making them feel the need to click the SEND button more than once?

I've seen it elsewhere also but just wondered if anyone else was reporting it.

My guess is it's when the system is temporarily slowed down, and people tend to hit "submit" an extra time or two, thinking it didn't "take" the first time....

Nope, . No tapping on the send button here Terry but it did take pretty long to load.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I've had it happen to me when I've only clicked once as well (Unless I accidentally double clicked it with a shaky hand not realizing it).

I had a computer customer call me one day & asked why it took three days for his e-mail to reach to addressee who lived right across the lake (this was right after a storm knocked down numerous servers on the east coast). He did not realize the path taken by computer commucations is far from "line of sight" or "skip" as in radio communications.

Is DG slow for anyone else today? I've had many times when it takes quite a long time to get around.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I left a while ago because I couldn't get it to move at all. Came back and it got me this far, so I'll have to see how much further I can go now.

ever thing is slow tonight

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I always wondered what caused that. I know we get lots of duplicate reports in the help desk. Does it happen because they hit submit twice or a glitch?

Tonight I've had a few times that where a little slow but for the most part it's been better for me tonight than it has been. I haven't had any timing out.

mine was slow yesterday and today (the 29th). i know i was guilty of hitting that submit button more than once, until i saw one post posted three times in a row. now when it's lagging, i just go back to home and find that it usually was submitted somewhere in "that land" that i don't understand.

It's happened to me a few times, & all I do is go back & "edit" the duplicate posts by deleting the text.
