Coffee and...For Christmas Eve, 2005

(Zone 8b)

Julie that is lovely - I'm so happy for you. Despite the fact that we know they care, somehow hearing those words makes it so much more real, and they mean so much when you know how hard it was for the person to overcome their reticence and speak out. ((()))

Night All
Say good night Gracie!

Hey, I hope "Santa" brings everyone some neat goodies. But mostly, I hope everyone gets a good dose of Peace and Joy!

And a blessed Christmas to all!

We are rejoicing! and also for another reason... Dh has been unemployed since the beginning of Sept. He thought he would work on the house and some vehicle stuff for a few weeks, then start job hunting. Then his depression kicked in when bills started being late.... but, after a number of 'over qualified' and no calls, he got a job offer on Thurs and it is a good offer, we believe. It's at an implement dealer in Sioux Falls, he'll be picking up and delivering equipment that needs work done, helping repair items, getting traded in items ready for resale, etc. What a huge relief!! We can even drive together to work on Mon. and Thurs. I'm going to try to change my schedule on Wed. and Fri. so we can drive together then also. It'll help a bundle with these gas prices.

darius, soooooo good to hear from u, I worry about u a lot! You probably didn't see it posted a few days back, but I was just reminding u that the spare bedroom is still spare! :) And thanks Molly, for ur kindness and hospitality!

Hi to everyone and I hope u all have a blessed Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it's late, had a wonderful evening, exchanged gifts, some funny, some nice, laughed ourselves to tears, played a silly card game, petted the animals, hugged each other, and came home.

DH and I will not open each other's gifts until tomorrow, I am flat out exhausted and heading for bed. I wish everyone a good night's sleep, a happy and peaceful Christmas Day, hands to pull those up who need it, and my heartfelt love for all of you.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!

Forgive me for copying the message I posted on the daily weather thread, but I wanted to share with my "coffee friends". I feel sure this is my reward for being a good girl and doing my exercises. My radio is playing "Joy to the World" and that is is truly how I feel this Christmas morning!!

All the "elves" worked yesterday pressure cleaning the pool and patio area, added new potted palms, and putting up the tables with Christmas decorations. Shiney new horseshoes for the much loved competition and a new basketball for the hoop.

Honey-Baked made a 10lb ham, some company in Idaho made the fully cooked 12 lb standing rib roast. Everyone coming is bringing a side dish or dessert. Now all is ready for the family gathering at 2PM.

We don't have snow, but remember.......they had palm trees in Bethleham! I wish all my DG friends a wonderful Christmas!!!!!
Christmas kisses and hugs!

Good Morning All and Merry Christmas,

Off to church with my Jewish husband. He comes with me on special Holy Days and this is one of them. It really makes my Christmas not to have to go to church alone. Only at church do I really question my life and what I have done with it and sometimes I have a hard time justifying things. But, what done is done.

Anyway, to all my family,..... hugs, kisses, and blessing today, and always.

I take it there will not be a Dec. 25 thread, just staying on this one?
The final trip to the thrift shop to find windows and a door for the greenhouse netted us this trellis (well, whatever you might call it) for FREE! What should I grow on it? The legs are pretty smooth. I thought about hyacinth beans or morning glories but will they hold onto the smooth lumber? It's about 9 feet tall, but about 2 feet will go underground.
I have a new camera, so pardon the focus and sizing. Still reading and testing...
