I have a question. If a thread becomes long and a new thread is started and they are linked to each other, is the previous, older thread locked automatically? I was going to add an update to a thread of mine and got the "This thread has been locked..." message at the bottom. It isn't a problem but I am curious.

That doesn't happen automatically - one of us admins needs to be asked to lock the original thread.

Hi Dave!

Can anyone ask for a thread to be closed or only the person that started the thread? I don't think I have ever asked for a thread to be closed and one of mine is closed.

Isn't there a closed option? I know in the seed exchange there is a closed option so you don't keep getting requests once your seeds are gone.

I think the closed option is only available in the seed exchange, plant trading, and identy forums.
