This may have already been answered and sorry if I am repeating.
Is there a way to print a whole thread (there are some with instructions on the hypertufa and other forums) that when I print, they print just how they are shown on the forum (longwise), and take up several sheets of paper only on one side.
How can i get a printable version or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for your help.
Antoinette
How do I print a long thread?
Did you try printing from the print button that's just to the right of the watch thread button right above the first post on a thread? That works better for me.
Well, I'll be darned.. I never saw that button.
Thank you so very much.. gonna try it right now.
I really appreciate that.
Wooohoo, I love it. It works great.
I'm glad it's what you were looking for. :)
I'm tickled I finally knew the answer to something. LOL
Now, haint that sumpthin' !!
A wee lil batch of 'thanks' from me too .. JoanJ !!
A lil over a year, and I've positively failed to ever notice that option! Then again, have never needed it either .. but, will sure know where to 'click' should the need arise (hopefully). LOL

My brother 5150 printer will only print two sided if I go to "layout" and select 'long edge binding'. I bought it because my other printer would only print single sided, which I think is a waste.
You can on some printer drivers print the odd pages first, then put the pages back in so the evens print on the backs. It takes getting used to, but you can do double-sided printouts pretty easily that way once you get the process down.
What kind of paper do you buy that doesn't show the print through from the other side?
Hammermill paper is one of my favorites -- their 24# inkjet paper in particular. http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=619192&&An=text
Some inkjet printers have settings available to put less ink on the page so the pages dry faster. You can print in draft mode for text pages, too, and that saves ink, plus prints faster.
The difference is in the poundage; being cheap I have been getting the 20 lb Xerox stuff.
Thanks.
Poundage is part of it, but the finish of the paper itself is a biggie depending on the types of documents you print. I know Howie said the Office Depot brand multi-use paper is always jamming up the printers at work. Whenever they skimp and buy that, people tear their hair out. LOL
Presently I have 21lb HP paper. Very cheap and translucent.
Several factors affect print quality. The finish and weight are merely two. Others are the Mil or caliper measurement, brightness rating, opacity, and whether it’s coated or uncoated among many more .. depending upon what one desires to print and the longevity intended.
There is more than one standard scale of measurement to determine the weights of paper which can make it sometimes difficult to compare the weights of similar grades of paper. The caliper of a paper grade has no particular influence on the determined weight of the paper. One grade of paper may be more dense or compacted than another paper of the same grade. The heavier the paper the denser that it is. It is sometimes referred to as having a heavier or lighter feel to it.
The coated papers are available in different gloss levels. The different gloss levels are: high gloss, soft gloss and matte. Coated photo inkjet papers are also available in a varying degree of brightness and thicknesses.
Most specially coated papers that are to be used in an inkjet printer are not laser printer compatible. Uncoated papers can be used in both inkjet and laser printers with no damage to the printer. Paper coated for inkjet printer use only, can cause damage to a laser printer.
Sorry, Gourd .. I've not meant to risk hi-jacking your thread! Jes wanted to merely share a tidbit of info ...

That is very informative and good to know.
Thanks for the enlightenment Magpye. I have both an ink jet and laser printer and have been a bit confused as to which is OK for either machine.
Magpye,
I don't mind at all. I'm learning a great deal here, only I don't understand a whole lot of it yet. I'm still with the black ink and trying to figure out how to get me some color ink..lol.
Is there more information where you got that, Mags? It's good info and I'd like to bookmark the source.
Glad the info was considered beneficial ...
And ((many thanks)), Gourd .. for your kindness.
I'm one of those that usually 'learn' the hard way: " When all else fails - read the directions! " .. LOL .. Fortunately, I've yet to invest in a Laser printer - to mess up real 'good'. .. hee ..
A good bit of info, is available here > http://www.theofficeguide.com/copy-paper/ .. but the proverbial treasure trove, begins here > http://www.piamidam.org/printbuy.php#anchor174626
Vivisimo and WiseNut .. are truly some great search engines. Expand a bit .. and check them out some time.

Sorry if someone already answered your question, but wanted to say what I know. You can "highlight" an area holding down the left mouse button, and pull the mouse down until all you want is highlighted. Leave it highlighted and then go to print, under the file (very left and top). Print should give you options at that point, and pick "selected" option - because then only what you have highlighted get's printed. (509) 838-3262 if you need free help with this.
