Would like to see a Forum for Heuchera

Gravois Mills, MO(Zone 6a)

In recent years Heuchera have really become more popular and a lot more interect is being shown in all the new types. Thought it would be nice to have a forum for these plants alone like for hosta.

In the past couple years, I've managed to gather up quite a little collection of heucheras, heucherellas and tiarellas. I would venture to say they are my newest obsession.

JOAN: We to are staring to collect them. I think recently there has been a lot of new ones popping up. That is the reason for my request. They are a nice plant to go along with our Hosta.

There are a couple things I do not like about. One is our purple palace bloom like nuts all summer long. I am not a fan of the flowers. I keep them cut off. The other thing is Heuchera spread out and become straggly. I just recently cut back some Purple Palace very severe to see what happens. I think it will make them a little more compact.

Right now we have:

Purple Palace
Chocolate Ruffels
Stoplight
Amethyst Mist
Crimson Curls
Amber Waves
Mount St Helens

You can bet we are going to add about 5-6 more this year.
