Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Well, not even gonna try to comment on everyone's posts, except to say, where's Bal and Ernie? All this talk about eating, weight, sizes, and diets just brings me down. 2 years ago I seriously needed to loose about 20 pounds. Got sick and lost about 28, so got to the desired weight, buy not by dieting. Don't recommend it to anyone!!. Stick to those diets and loose it the real way.

Just wanted to fill you in on DMIL' s health situation. She went to the surgeon today, and she has a very fast leak in a valve in her heart. That is fixable, but he wants her to have a catherization done as soon as they can schedule it to see if she has any blockages. If she does that is a different story. He would try angioplasty (balloon) but if they are not able to fix the blockages with that method, that would call for surgery to take care of the blockages, then some recouperation, and then the open heart surgery to replace the valve. Quite frankly, he said at her age, he didn't think that she could stand 2 surgeries in a short time. So everything will depend on what the catherization shows. So we are expecting to hear from the heart specialist tomorrow to tell us when the cath is scheduled. Do keep us in your prayers, and thoughts. This Christmas seems to be turning out to be a trying time for this family.

I talked to Elaine today, and you could just hear the joy in her voice. I think she is the neatest thing since sliced bread. So kind, caring, and gracious. I don't blame her for staying in her jammies till noon, and not eating supper until 8:30, I would too, if I had the neat toy she has.

I did get a whole lot done today, after sleeping so late. Finished packaging all the bacon that we had cured and froze it. Finished a mosaic pot that I am giving for Christmas, and read some, beside fixing supper. I was going to have spaghetti, salad and garlic bread, but DH wanted hamburgers and fries. How unhealthy is that?

Mr B is going through a stage of snapping at anyone who comes near his food, dog biscuits and rawhide included. Snapped at DH last night, so I am employing the fly swat therapy, and it seems to be helping. Also for excessive barking in the house. I tell him to use his "inside voice",and he quiets down. LOL, just like a kid.

Well DS and DS's girlfriend is here for the night. Her father, with whom they are living, has Post stress disorder from Vietnam. Ocassionally, when he is going through his manic episodes, they just have to leave him alone. So will probably be here through the weekend, then back to jobs and everyday stuff.

Well, I am signing off, and going to bed, hoping that I sleep as well as I did last night. Will have a huge breakfast on the counter in the morning, so help yourselves.

Good night all.

Can't remember when I saw size 12 hip bones,,,,,hmmmmmmm,,,,,,,Is there really such small sizes?????

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

geez sorry guys. isn't all its cracked up to be. almost impossible to find a size 1 with a 34 inch inseam. Hard to find a size 8 with a 34 inch inseam. I'm just too tall LOL We won't even talk about finding shoes for a size 11 extremely narrow LOL

Night all... time to take my nyquil and drag DH off the couch and to bed

hugs all

Okay, just checking in before I crash. Looks like everyone has turned in except me. LOL
Defoe, you *aren't* suppose to tell my secrets. LOL Now y'all ... I haven't *really* stayed in my jammies until noon! I'll be thinking about your MIL and saying prayers for the entire family, Defoe.

I'm not going to comment on the weight thing. That is one thing I really have to work at. I do it for me, though, so that makes it okay.
Well, going to check on everything before I turn in. Hugs and good dreams to all.

P.S. HI DARIUS!!

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Woofens, I am crying in joy. I also wear a size 8 with 34 inseams. Not an easy find. And to all of you who are going to say that petite woman have the same problems let me remind you that a smaller person can at least have the clothes altered to fit and have them look good. Tall people on the other hand would look rediculous with 4 inches of unmatched material added to the bottom of all our pants. I pay an average of 50.00 for a pair of jeans, but have paid as much as 100.00 for a pair of nice jeans. And the short pants applies to our jammies too.

Okay done whining here.

Defoe, I will be saying an extra prayer for your MIL. Hard to deal with health issues during the holidays. I hope everything works out for the best.

Casey

Carot, I must say ... there are many many problems with being short. LOL My arms are so short there is no way to hem up long sleeves. It makes them look odd. I can never buy anything long sleeved. And I have to pay around $10 just to get something hemmed. I wear petite, but everything is still toooo long. Oh, and you want to talk shoes. Well now ... have you ever tried finding shoes for a 5 to 5-1/2 foot? LOL They look like childrens shoes if you *can* find them. :) hehehe Sooo, want to compare problems? ;)

O.K.,,,time to get the subject off of size,,,I'm getting depressed here,,,although I have *help* for that,,,,LOL

I agree with you Casey, it doesn't look nice to have 4" of non matching material at the bottom of your pants.

I am also tall (5' 10"),,,I make my own pants 'cause I Can't find any that I like the way they fit in the store.

Wish I took after my Mom,,,,she's fluctuates between a 3 & 6,,,,hate that,,,LOL

So, onto the next subject,,,ROFL

(Zone 8b)

Hi Y'all,
A size WHAT Woofens!! You are kidding?? We almost share a shoe size, mine is 11/12 but also extra wide, and even at my thinest - and I was once skin and bone, though its hard to believe now, I had to wear a 14 top to get my massive shoulder width in - not the bust, never had one of those!! :>) I have the wing span of an Eagle, just can't fly! LOL My sleeves are always 2" too short, unless I shop in the mens department that is. I don't have very long legs, but I have to wear separates becuse I have a very long body - if my legs were in the usual proportion to the top bit I would stand 6'8" tall, so perhaps its as well they are not!!
Those of us with a very large frame can carry a few extra pounds without looking too dreadful but my problem is it isn't a few any more more like 40. I've asked DH for a years subscription to Curves for Christmas - hope he takes the hint, but bet he doesn't - he still thinks I'm skinny like I used to be - maybe he needs a ScanAcan too!! ROFLMBO (I wish :>))))))))! )

On which thought I'll do what I meant to do when I popped in and wish y'all goodnight!

Night Gracie!!

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

LOOK! You guys *all* have *your* problems! But how would you like to be 5'8" tall and have to hem UP a pair of PETITE pants??? LOL (You just *think* you have problems! I feel like I look like 'Tweedle Dee' or 'Tweedle Dum'...an egg with legggggs (and SHORT ones, at that!) ROTFLMAO))

I'm with you, Kelly...this subject IS depressing!

And Okus...you've got me LMAO with that Scanacan remark about your husband. GOD LOVE HIM! Your DH *is* the BEST!!

I'm getting out of here before I start another "Julie Marathon"! LOL
