It's almost the 11th so I'll post over here. Worked today from 10 to 2, stopped at WW to get the cleaner for MIL's colonoscopy on Tues. I am concerned about the cleaner process, a bit worried she can t handle it alone and I work 10 hrs. Mon. Guess I won't skip breaks (we've been low on operaters lately) and give her a call every 2 hours.

Got another wall painted before it got too dark to see in the bedroom. Have u every heard of taking 5 weeks to paint one bedroom? It is getting a bit ridiculous! Only one wall to go and about a foot over the closet. Getting very tired of the mess!

Picked up DD, DGD and her friend and went to see the Singer Christmas Tree Pageant in SF again. A gal at work sings in it so a bunch of us went Thurs. night. It's really a wonderful program. The singing is fantastic!

No other news - oh, it rained half the day, finally went up 20 degrees and we got to 36 today. Yippee! Sloppy slush everywhere! Guess u guys out east have tons of the white stuff too! Heard Fri. am that only 2200 folks in SD were out of electricity still. Many of them are very isolated so they won't get power anytime soon. Total downed poles was around 12,000!

Night all - welcome leaflady!

Hi All,

Since it is so late I decided to post on Sunday's thread. Just read all the posts and can't remember most of what I read,,,yep, the mind is the first thing to go,,,LOL,,,,except,,,,I do remember one in particular,,,,.

Elaine,
aaawwww, Thank-You,,,,that was a very nice thing to say,,,I *Knew* you had good taste,,,ROFLOL
I agree, we get to know each other in the way that counts,,,by our personalities.

leaflady,,,
Welcome to our humble coffee and ..... thread. I am new to this thread also and All of these lovely souls will make you feel right at home!

Maria,,
Beautiful pics,,,sure looks like Samson loves it,,LOL

Can't remember much else,,,,

May I please use the 2 X 4???? I *Need* to use it on my neighbor. He had this dog named Junior,,,,*Wonderful* dog,,,,still a puppy,,not even a year old, so friendly, and spunky. They built a kennel for Junior,,,,the little stinker would keep getting out of the kennel (he would climb over the top) and come over to play with Mooshka,,,they had so much fun,,,that's really all the farther he would go,,,to our yard,,,just to play with Mooshka,,,,,Bill just told me tonight that Junior died. I couldn't believe it and asked how,,,he told be the neighbor had chained him in the kennel so he couldn't get out and poor Junior tried to climb over again and was hanged 'cause he couldn't reach the ground. I am so upset, I want to go over to his house and strangle him,,,,,,I can't get that picture out of my mind now. I start tearing whenever I think of it. How stupid can people be??????

Well, gonna go, I'm getting teary eyed again, I'll check in later today,

Nite All.

Morning everyone - snowing and blowing here again - is this getting old or what??? And winter hasn't officially even started... gonna be a long one. Weatherman just said we've had 36 in. of snow already - half of what we normally get in a season.

My feet are soaking in warm water- I shopped for 7.5 hrs yesterday with DIL - and the crowds were huge!! The only good thing is that I didn't eat much and walked tons (we have to park way out everytime we stopped) I had to keep DIL going- she is such a procrastinator- didn't have a thing bought yet and is having three gatherings at her house. We did a good job. I didn't buy anything except some food items at our last stop.

Bal - good to see you amongst us again. Yum, I'd eat pancakes three times a day - just love them. I have a coffee grinder in the closet - used it a couple of times, but never could tell the difference in flavor, so just use the regular Yuban stuff. My taster has never been very good - a blessing because everything tastes good, but a curse when I have to cook for others!

We have two little wild kitties that have decided to take up residence under our deck. Our cat goes out and plays with them. I'd love to put out a little food, but DH is totally against it - although he did have fun watching the three of them scamper all around. They look pretty chubby, so I think they must be good hunters or they are getting food from somewhere.

Hello to everyone else - pass the jam - haven't had homemade in years - smuckers is my brand!!

Welcome Leaf - pull up a chair...

Going out for aunts 85 BD party today - will be a fun time

Hi all
Just a quick note before I have to start getting ready for church.
Kelly, I can't believe that about your neighbor dog. I've passed the 2x4 over and don't go too easy on him, either. I just can't understand how people can be so cruel.

Defoe, I'm glad y'all made it home safe. Know you've enjoyed the DGD. Children, like animals, can be our saving grace when we need a hand out of the darkness.

Kooger, if you need help with that painting ... just give me a shout. I've been trying to get the DH to let me help paint ... but no go as yet. LOL That Singer Christmas Tree Pageant sure sounds wonderful. Bet that music was really something.

Sarv, what a shopping trip! LOL No wonder you are soaking your feet. My Mama can shop rings around me. She gives a whole new meaning to the saying "shop til you drop". Don't know where she gets her energy.

To everyone else, hope you all have a blessed day. I'll check in later to see what you've been up to.

Morning, All... Getting a late start today, probably procrastination about facing all I have yet to do and today is the last packing day. Ugh. I also have to drive over to Murphy to the Lowe's to get straps to secure things in the U-Haul truck. They don't provide any. Might be a good break in the afternoon as long as I can get there and back before it snows.

I did get all my framed art but 2 pieces packed late last night. Ran out of the 2 foot wide bubble wrap but I do have some 2 foot wide b flute (that's cardboard with the outer layer of paper just on one side of the corrugations so it bends).

I will be back sometime today or tonight before I take down my computer.

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

Kelly~ i am so,so sorry for Junior. Can you imagine being "owned" by an idiot like that? A few good whacks with the 2x4 may just raise his IQ!!
darius!! You're hitting the home stretch!!

I have to run- good day all!

Good luck on the final leg of this pack and go stint, Darius. Looking forward to your next stage when you get settled in.

GM all! I was awakened by a phone call this morning from a credit card reporting service that caught 6 charges of $159.95 each being placed in the wee hours this morning against our Visa card. The person who called was able to catch the mailing address the items charged are to be sent to and has already called the police and notified them. She also gave us a phone number we have to call tomorrow morning to report the credit card fraud so it will be taken off our card and we won't be charged for it. Nice, eh?

So, now we are waiting for the police to call us back about the fink that charged against our card. The only thing my hubby can figure is that this person must have been at ACE Hardware store yesterday when he went there to purchase a new kitchen sink faucet to install for my elderly mother. He said he only had the card out long enough to swipe it through the card reader but the cashier asked to look at the card. He said she turned it over and then handed it back to him. I wonder if she took the numbers off the back of the card, then used it later to make purchases. Hmmmm, makes a body wonder.

I think today may end up being an interesting day. I have to go to work later, but hubby will be home to field the calls from the police, etc.

So, folks, be aware of what you do and how you use your credit cards and who views them. I'm grateful to the computer folks who watchdog these things for us, but holy crow, I can see how easily one could lose their shirts if not careful.

Otherwise, I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. If you are able to rest and reclaim your strength for the upcoming holidays, more power to you. If you are still running about for whatever reasons, please be safe, take care and be kind to yourself.

Hugs from WA, ~Babs~

Well, I haven't missed much today. Got up at 7:00 and made sausage, biscuits and gravy for DGH and DH. DM didn't want to get out in the icy snowy weather, so she didn't go to church. When we got to our church, first ones there, went in and found that someone had wrecked the christmas tree that I put up last week. Ornaments broken all over the place. So had to do a quick clean up before everyone arrived. I don't even want to speculate who, or what happened. Have left it for someone else to sort out.

Kooger, sounds like your weather was the pits yesterday. I think most of the US is suffering some sort of bad weather.

Darius, I still chuckle when I think of Mr. B standing over that stuffed cat. I cannot wrap that present and put it under the tree, because with his sense of smell, it would be found and unwrapped immediately. You take it slow, and arrive safely in Florida, ya hear now. There is a possibility that I will make a short trip to Florida in February. If so, may just pack up the Bloody Mary Mix and come christen Molly's house. We can do the taste test then.

GardenGeek, what an idiot your neighbor is. Poor little fellow didn't have a chance, and all he wanted to do was come play with Mooshka.

Sarv, go on, sneak some food out to those kitties. With all that snow, they need the nourishment to stay out in the cold. Maybe better stash a little for you when DH finds out you fed them and kicks you out!!

101 you sound angry enough to travel up and take care of Kelly's neighbor., you too dmc. Why don't you all travel together, and give him the old 1-2.

Well for those who haven't posted yet today, don't stay away long. At least drop by and say hi, so we know you're okay.

Have to take DGD home, so will check in later this evening.

Just checking in quick,,,want to get Tons done today. Have read all of the posts but not gonna take time to comment on all now,,,gotta *git er done*

Elaine, thanks for the 2x4,,,,,,,,, Everyone,,,,,,can come on up and help. We could All teach him a lesson.

Hello to all...
'I started having BIG problems accessing the DG site last night. It took over 45 minutes to get the Daily started for today and to put the link in yesterday's thread. I'm still having the same problem today. It may take 15-20 minutes to move from the home page to the thread page...then another 1/2 hour to get the screen that says I've replied to a thread.

I really don't have the time or patience to keep trying...(Let's put it this way...I'm thinking the Loony Bin is the perfect place me...bring on the guys in the white suits...I'm going willingly. (no LOL's in that statement, either. I'm a basket case!))

Could someone PLEASE start tomorrow's daily for me? I'd also appreciate it if you're in threads where I usually post if you'd let my friends know I'm OK but can't deal with the Internet right now.

Darius...I might not be able to tell you before you leave...but I want you know I'm thinking of you and wishing you a very safe and UNeventful trip. I'll be looking forward to seeing you back with us as soon as possible.

To everyone...Have a GOOD day and I hope your's is going better than mine.

Taking a break from the mess, and just catching up while I wait for lunch to bake. Bob was here and took home a box of freezer foods (tuna steaks, shrimp and lots of other goodies). While he was here, he took down the last flourescent light and knocked down the last storage shelf. I keep packing boxes and there's the same amount left to pack after each box, LOL.

Julie, I'll be glad to start the daily before I go to bed tonight. Sounds like you have a browser problem, or maybe it's with your ISP unless you picked up a computer bug.

Holy Cow, Babs! Glad they awakened you!! CC fraud is becoming so prevalent.

D'Cat... I'll take you up on the Bloody Mary mix in FL. : )

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Julie, (If you gat a chance to read this)

I'll be happy to start the new Daily tonight. I hate it when I'm having those same problems on this site,,,,don't know what causes it?????

Hope your day gets better.

Just taking a quick break,,,,got Kelsey's room all cleaned up (that's my eBay box room and I usually don't take time to put the boxes away,,,just throw them in there,,,so that was a huge job),,,,got laundry started, Gran came over to help,, (what an Angel) and now I'm done with my break and back to work.

We must have posted at the same time,,LOL Hope you get the rest of it done early today as I Know you wanted to kind of kick back a little today,,,,Good Luck and have a Safe trip.

Back from the birthday bash- couldn't wait to get home to take off the foundations (got a one piece thing and it about drove me to distraction - can you say garage sale in the spring!) Nice to see all the cousins - gosh we are all getting so old (noticed some hearing aides even!!)

Forgot about a load of laundry from yesterday, so decided to wash it again= grr That's the second time this has happened in a couple of weeks - I am losing it I fear!.

Darius - good luck on the trip and I too hope it in uneventful and boring for ya. Tell Molly HI from all of us. Or are you going down to your sisters? I forgot!!!

Defoe, I think I will sneak some food out for the kitties. I'm used to a good tongue lashing - just close my ears! He'll get over it.. How would he like to be outside with no food.... Man, who would be so stupid to mess up an xmas tree. That is another sick-o in my book!

Babs - that's scarey about the credit card thing. I am going to Ace tomorrow - I'll watch carefully to make sure nothing suspicious happens while I am there!

Geek- that story about the dog makes me sick. Take a couple of 2x4's over and use them. He deserves it.

Time for a little munchie and a drink (water..) then sneaking some food out to the you know what's!!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Greetings everyone.

5 pm here and I'm on the computer for the frist time today.

Bells did well this morning. Generally, applause is not encouraged during the service at church, but now and then they can't seem to contain their enthusiasm and we got applause for the "Ding, Dong! Merrily on High this am. And our pastor announced to the whole congregation about our playing at the US Embassy on Friday which also got some applause.

This afternoon, I made over 10 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange tomorrow. (Actually, made the dough yesterday, just baked them this afternoon.). The DH and I went out and got a Christmas tree. Can't tell you how many years we've tramped through the bush looking for the perfect tree. Usually, when you get cold enough, they start looking better. But of late, we've started looking for Balsam Fir which keep their needles better than spruce and they aren't generally grown around here. The Royal Ottawa Hospital (the local psychiatric hospital) has a huge Christmas tree sale run by volunteers and they have a nice selection. We found a lovely 9 ft tree in short order.

defoe, where are those cats made? It's the only kind of cat DH will let me have now. They sound like they are well done.

darius, drive carefully. Hope you have a safe and uneventful journey.

I know I've missed others. Will try to catch up tomorrow. Have an orchestra rehearsal in less than two hours.

Ann

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

'Nother break... I may be down to the last 10 boxes or so! Of course, these are awkward items and that makes the boxes hard to fill so they stack okay. Ugh.

I think my problem is that I was over this packing to move a week ago, but it's still not done.

Sarv, glad you are gonna feed the strays. Be sure they get some warm water too.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

darius, good luck. The last 10 boxes are always the hardest.

Ann

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good afternoon everyone, oops, it's after 6pm on the east coast.

Babs, I worry about credit card fraud too, expecially at those restaurants where you pay on the table. The waitress takes your card and it's often 5 or 10 minutes before you get it back. Very risky I think. I hope it is all straightened out and the guys caught.

Darius, I'll be praying for you to have a safe trip. Did you get one of those U-hauls with the sign that says "an adventure in moving"? That always made me laugh since we never once had a moving company move us and our moves have on occasion turned into adventure. I counted our moves over the last 45 years and I think I came up with about 15. No more, we are stuck here and happy about it. Way too much stuff to move, and getting worse all the time.

Kelly, I think your neighbor probably didn't think about what could happen. I know people often tie a dog in the back of a pickup to teach them to stay in and sometimes with the same result. Or worse. It is so sad and I hope he has learned something.

This morning it dawned on me that Robert was the one who posted yesterday who had had the computer problem. I was thinking Ernie for some reason, so put the wrong name in my post. Gee, you would think I could keep our 2 guys straight. Where is Ernie?

Ann, I'm glad your concert and the presentation at church went well. I too have been at church when the music was just more than the congregation could handle in silence! That's fun no matter if you are listening or on the performing end. Do you do bell music any time other than the Christmas season?

We've had a lazy day here. After chores we went to town and had breakfast with our son and his wife, then came home and put up the Christmas tree and other decorations. Son and DIL came out and we had some freshly baked bread pudding (still warm) and we visited for about an hour. DIL just finished another college term and is without studies for a while so we try to get together with them when she is not rushed. When she came out on Thanksgiving she brought her laptop and was writing a paper while everybody was visiting in another room. She does very well in school, she's taking nursing. Next term she has a lot of labs and will have to travel to them over bad roads, not fun. The college here is just a satelite hook up thing, but that is better than nothing.

The day is sunny and my thermometer says it is up to 32! Wow!! a regular heat wave. I can see that there is a soft looking spot in the ice on the pond in the pasture, so will have to check that out when I go down to clear the ice off the water hole.

Have a good evening everyone.

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

I never even got dressed today! Did two batches of cookies, one spritz, and the other coconut macaroons (had to use up the egg whites) tomorrow, thumbprints with new raspberry jam in the print. Didn't even go out for breakfast, made scrambled eggs, biscuits with country gravy, there's a couple left on the counter if you like them. Use the big jug of jam, it will take us a while to consume it.

Also cleaned out a cupboard, and packed all the fancy wine glasses away, filled a couple of boxes, and made space to store some other stuff. Thought of Darius packing...she's at the point where I start thinking about whether I need the rest of it.....LOL Have a good trip, Darius. I don't even want to think about how many times I've moved. I'm going out of this place feet first...DH agrees.

Have a little pork tenderloin roasting, smells good. Haven't figured out side dishes yet. Think I might have some potato pancakes in the freezer. Running out of room, with DGS's spaghetti sauce in containers, and cabbage rolls taking up space.

Yup, we haven't heard from Ernie. Since we switched to Roadrunner, we haven't had any problems. Not only that, my phone bill dropped about $30 since we aren't accessing through the phone lines anymore. That's a bonus we didn't expect.

Did everyone have a good weekend? Sounds like it was busy, but not envying anyone their 6 hours sitting in a car or wearing an all-in-one, or seven and a half hours shopping. Any one of those would kill me!!

I'm off to the scullery, probably won't get back on tonight, so I'll wish everyone a restful sleep. I snuck a nap in today, but didn't sleep long because I was running lists of things to-do in my head.

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

We actually made it to church today. First time in over a month. I almost felt like a visitor. But everyone knew about our illnesses and some knew about hunting season keeping me home on Sunday mornings. We had our annual Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner after services. The ham was very good and the turkey was good-for turkey. Several dishes of dressing, some green bean casseroles, 3 or 4 dishes of sweet potatoes made various ways, not many desserts, thankfully. Cut down on the temptations. I took a cottage cheese/jell-o/fruit/Cool Whip salad that was safe for diabetics. Jack was hoping some of the salad would be left and he got his wish. Not a lot, but enough for both of us.

I'm trying to figure out how many more gift bags I need to buy tomorrow. I really don't like to wrap gifts. I also have the nice gift food type bags out to put the several kinds of Russell Stover candies in. I bought many cases this past fall when RS had caseload sales. All are Low Carb or Sugar Free. Each person will get a small bag of candies. Don't know if I will buy any regular candies or not. Everyone in the family either does or should be watching sugar intake.

I found the jack stands for Kyle and the vehicle ramps for J. D. at Auto Zone by phone this afternoon. The man was kind enough to put them aside for us so we can just pick them up tomorrow. I got our DIL Kerri the movie Hitch she wants. Our other DIL's mother just now called and said they will be by in the morning with the hand painted stepping stones she had done for their daughter Holly and our youngest DD, Kris. The list of gifts to buy is getting very short. I hate last minute shopping. I start shopping the first possible opportunity after Christmas day. Sometimes even before then. Like I got someone a gift then found out it wasn't going to be approved by the parent so I'll save it for someone else later. Nothing bad, just something the parent didn't think the child had room for or would take care of.

I need to go take care of the poultry. GOD bless and keep each of you.

Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)

A quick Hi to all,

Yay, Darius, you're in the home stretch now. That must feel good no matter what else is going on.

Hi leaflady. You'll see me hanging around on this forum a fair amount of the time.

GG, ow, sorry to hear about the poor dog. There are a whole lot of people out there who should never have kids OR pets! I do agree with Mary, though, a lot of the time it's a matter of being totally clueless, not necessarily intentionally cruel.

To all who haven't posted in a while ---- no problem, it's often crazy busy at this time of year. Hi and Season's Greetings to all of you!

Julie, hope you find out what the computer problem is ASAP! The last couple of days I've been having a little trouble with this site as well, but in my case it's just a matter of having to hit the "Refresh" button to get the thread loaded.

Ann, glad the concerts went well.

M5, d'cat, and sarv, I wish you well in your holiday endeavors. I'm starting to spin in ever decreasing circles myself. Only have one of the five or six kinds of cookies baked so far, though I have the dough for three more in the freezer. Very few gifts wrapped so far. Too much to do and too little time --- the story of my life (and that of many others here, I think!) Of course, if things really slow down, I tend to get bored.

Goodnight all. Time for me to get moving again.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I'm tired, painted edges for 3.5 hours, had coffee at the local 'stop 'n rob' and met a new neighbor. She has an empty pallet in the new acreage and loves to garden so I was glad to introduce her to DG. Hopes she checks us out! Then I trimmed back 3 large asparagus ferns that I'm tired of tripping over in the kitchen.... lol ..... another one of those 'didn't get around to it' things. I really trimmed them back hard, they had a big more frost damage than I thought, sitting in the garage. And now we're eating supper. I think I'll mix up pecan tassies dough before hitting the hay.

Talked to SIL and BIL today about MIL's colonoscopy and they were as concerned about the prep as I. We don't think MIL can handle it tmr with no one around and we all have to work. Also doubt she would get the directions right without someone there to help her so we decided I wld discuss it with the doc and see if he has some suggestions. MIL is getting so feeble, it's becoming a big concern!

Freezing rain predicted here tonight.... UCK!! Darius' area is also predicting feezing rain - if you're the praying sort, say a big one for none of that stuff and a safe journey for her!!

GG- a 2x6 would be recommended, provided u can swing the thing?

have a good night's sleep all!

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Hi All,
Am working on the tree in between watching Extreme Home Makeover and dropping in here to see what I'm missing,,LOL.

sarv,
Wow, shop til you drop,,,LOL oooo, poor kitties,,,glad you have kind of adopted them.

darius,
Good Luck with the rest of the packing. Have a very Safe trip. It will be weird not hearing from you for a few days. Be Safe and God Speed.

dmc,
Thanks, he wasn't my dog, but was over here a lot to play with Mooshka. After they had played awhile I always just went outside and said c'mon Junior we have to go home now,,,,he would wag his tail so hard his whole back end shook,,LOL he'd follow me to his house and go back in the kennel. Pretty soon there he was again. I just am haunted by the mental image,,,can't seem to get it out of my head.

M5,
Good luck with the cookies. Sounds like you got a lot done.

mag,
Hope you have fun at your party. Glad to hear the wedding went well.

Babs,
That stinks,,,glad they caught it before too much damage could be done. Athough now you have the nightmare of proving who you ae everytime you want to use your card,,,sad.

defoe,
That stinks too. What is wrong with people????

Ann,
Glad to hear all went wonderful with your bells.

Mary,
I'm sure he wasn't thinking,,,that is the part that bothers me. Had he put the slightest thought into it, it wouldn't have happened. I hope and pray that he has learned something. Your day doesn't sound lazy, it sounds very productive at a relaxing pace.

leaflady,
Your dinner sounds like it was scrumptious. Alos sounds like you ahve a good start on your Christmas shopping. Good for you.

Mc Cool,
I agree about some people not having kids or pets. I truly believe he wasn't being intentionally cruel, just he wasn't thinking. Feel sorry for poor Junior though.

I am going to Eau Claire tomorrow do get some things we need and hopefully get the little bit of Christmas shopping done that I need to. Am also meeting marie_ for lunch. I don't know if any of you know her from around DG but we met late this last summer. Have gotten together a couple of times and keep in touch usually by d-mail. She's such a honey and am really looking forward to lunch with her.

Well, better get the rest of those lights on the tree and maybe start the ornaments. Have a good night all.

edited to add;
Kooger,
I could definitely swing a 2 x 6,,,LOL,,,,Nice that you met a new neighbor. That's always nice. Even better that she likes gardening. Hope things go well with MIL,,,those are always hard situations when someone needs to be somewhere and all the family memvers are working,,,someone should be there with her if at all possible. Good Luck.

Kelly

Julie, sorry about confounded computer problems. Nothing worse. Hope the grimlins just decide to go somewhere else.

ViolaAnn, I was going to ask about the concert, but you beat me to it. Isn't that great. I don't care if it is in church, or where ever, if I hear a good performance, I automatically clap. About the stuffed cat. I don't know who makes them, but started seeing them this past summer/fall. They are so life like. The first one I saw was in a chair in a furniture store, and I even went over to pet it. If you want one, I would be happy to get it and ship it to you. Wish I had something other than dial up, I would post a pic, but it takes forever to do. I got this one on sale for about $8.00. They had been priced about 25.00 earlier. I agree, they would be the perfect pet, no hair to vacuum, and no food to buy.

McCool, if DGD had not come this weekend, I would be really far behind. I had not wrapped one gift, and she says mamaw, I'll help you cause you ain't gonna get it all done. We worked on some mosaic pots that I am making as gifts, and sure enough, if she hadn't helped, I wouldn't have had time to touch them all weekend.

We went to a piano concert at a neighboring church tonight. It was awesome. This lady plays so well, but doesn't read music, plays all by ear, and to my untrained ear, did a really good job. To a concert pianist, it probably was less than perfect. Oh well, I just know what I like.

Darius, if you don't get another chance to post, have a safe and uneventful trip. Give Molly a hug from all of us, and tell her we are still rooting that it will all be finished soon.

Well, I'm going to call it a night, as DGD just wore me out this weekend. I enjoy her, but she is a whirlwind. Hope all have a restful uninterrupted sleep tonight.

Just now giving this thread a careful reading. We've just finished the dress rehearsal for a concert which takes place NEXT Sunday. since this is an amateur orchestra, I'm a bit concerned about the amount of time. But hopefully it will go well. The tickets are selling well. We're doing part of Hansel and Gretal - dream scene, some of Nutcracker Suite, Peter and the Wolf and Sleigh Ride. Should be fun.

kelly, how sad with the neighbour's dog. He certainly should have thought of the possible consequences, but obviously didn't.

MaryE - my bells play about once a month in church, although we actually played two weeks ago and we will also play on January 8 - for children's story a special bell piece with narration which tells the story of the Bethlehem Star. And since we've got it ready, we'll also do "We Three Kings" that day as well. We don't often play three things like we did today, but we had to play for 25 minutes at the Embassy; so we had a lot of repertoire ready and decided to play the offertory as well.

defoe, thanks for the offer to send one of those cats, but I think I'll decline. when I think sensibly, I'm trying to cut down on the clutter around here.

Good night everyone.

Ann
