Just to let my friends at Daves Garden know that I shall be unable to communicate for a week or two and will not be posting any images to the PlantFiles for a similar period.

I am going into hospital tomorrow to have knee replacement surgery, which I hope will greatly improve my mobility once I revover from the operation. I shall be in hospital for 7 to 10 days and will have no access to a computer for that time.

I have also just retired from my employment and may have a further break in my communication, while I re-organise my computer and web access.

I will certainly be back but cannot reply to any communications for the next week or two,

Ditto - heal well and quickly. Think of the angles you'll be able to shoot with a new knee!

Hello, Ken! Don't know you, but for a minute there thought you'd found some other substance to breathe besides air! Was going to tell you to patent it! The doctors are doing fabulous things in replacement surgery these days---even octogenarians recovering quickly from it! Trust all will go well for you! Thanks for all your contributions to Davesgarden!

Wonderful news about the surgery, Ken. My DH has bad knees, so, some day he hopes to have surgery, too. I'm sure this will open new vistas for you once you have recovered. I can see by your photos that you like to hike and photograph, so this is going to give you so many more options!
