(Zone 8b)

Hi Y'alls,
I had a hectic week-end then got poll axed by the return of that virus I had a few weeks ago, now I've completeley lost track of what is going on here!! I am trying to read and catch up but it might take all year. Between the coughing and the elephant, well no , not that heavy, probably more like a Golden Retriever, I have sitting on my chest I'm not having a great time at the moment. Had to try and sleep sitting up last night. Roll on Spring.
M5 I hope that your fur ball is going to get better. There is something very special about all of them, and losing one is like losing a close member of your family. ((((Hugs)))
I'm going back into reading mode now - so I know what you are all up too.

Mary- Those pictures are beautiful. I can see why you like to go for walks. Pretty area.

Okus - Hope you are feeling better soon!

Kelly - Those cheddar ranch fries sound yummi!

I just gave the dog a bath and changed into PJ's since the dog got me wet too. No matter how much I dry her, when she shakes I still get a shower. LOL

My parents just picked up their new camper today. It's really nice, but I'm worried that it might be a little to much for them to handle. They got a big 5th wheel and a new extended cab pickup to boot. Just say prayers when they leave for FL in January.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Susie, your parents will be OK but it does depend how old they are and how healthy plus what kind of weather they may run into on the way to FL

Ooooh, Mary ... I just have to say ... I want one of those apples! LOL And yes, I too could see the fox. What descriptions. Just wonderful!
Yeah Kelly ... crying here again too.
Darius ... hope all goes okay for you.
Ocas, sure hope you get over that nasty bug. Want me to Dmail you some chicken soup?
Do y'all think Julie got toooo organized?
Okay, I'm freezing again. Gonna go get a bath and put my pj's on. This south GA cold just chills you to the bone. I know I'm a wimp ... can't help it, though. :)

Evening folks,

Thanks to all who wished me well regarding tomorrow's craft fair. According to DH, I'm always at a low ebb about this time each year. Probably a lot of it has to do with having to stock up the store and wondering if there will be enough holiday shopping to show a profit for the year. I really hate piling up debt, but you can't go into the season with an empy store either. Oh well, it usually works out, I'm just a worrier.

Maria and Mary, thanks for the invitations. Wish I could take you up on them! Mary, those pictures were gorgeous, each and every one!

M5, I'm so very sorry. I lost my "best girl" about six years ago and don't think I'll ever really get over it. Crying with you already.

Okus, hope you can get rid of that bug this time, once and for all! Hope everyone else who's feeling lousy now wakes up feeling much better tomorrow.

I should have a whole array of cyber cookies for everyone in a couple of weeks----if I can just remember to bring my camera home from the shop!

That's it for me tonight, don't mean to slight anyone, but that alarm clock's going to be going off very early in the morning, then it's a wonderful slog to another town and a fun hour and a half of set-up. Well, at least this is the last one of the year.

Goodnight and sleep tight.

Just going to answer Elaine's question about my stars. LOL Yep! They're for emphasis and I seem to use them a lot. :-) It's like the only way I can make people understand that there's a change in my voice that I want them to notice.

OK...Still too busy with all the stuff I've got to get done...so I'm here to start the new thread.

You'll find tomorrow's DAILY in the Parking Lot,

Oh Sheila, am so sad to hear about Oskar. Having anything thing wrong with any of our animals is so heartbreaking. I will put some good thoughts for you tonight.

Mary, I just love those snow pictures of your. You take such nice pictures.

Well, haven't been here much lately. Things in my life have been very busy and crazy. But I have read each and everyone of you people posts. Just didn't have time to write all about the good and bad happenings here.

Tomorrow I will become a true GOB. I won't be a Gobbette anymore. How unreal. Can't believe that I am that old yet, lol. Am not sure what I am going to with my day tomorrow tho.

Life is a challenge as we all know. The past couple days I have been a shoulder for my son to cry on long distance wise. This is the one who is trying to get into dental school. He has gotten his first rejection and isn't on the 1st round list for the school in our state. So it has been a terrible time for him and me. I feel so bad and wish I could do something for him but can't. I know all of you guys have been there too.

Plus my younger son is wrestling his last year of hs so am busy with watching him and will be even more busy with those dang tournaments that take all weekend long. But I will go thru withdrawls later next year with no sport events to attend so might as well enjoy what I have now.

I also have been digging the last 2 weekends my dahlia tubers. Ended up digging up at least 66 of them. Now I just have to spend time dividing them. Yuck, am not looking forward to that at all. It is so cold nowadays even in my garage with a heater going.
So if anyone wants some, just holler. I have a few for trades/postage spoken for but will have plenty to share/trade/postage.

Well, need to go get a bite to eat. I did make some white choc. chip cookies for my younger son's girlfriend for her birthday, so there are a few left.
Have a cookie, plenty on the counter for you all.

Later, Carol (DR)

Hi everyone,

Just checking in before bedtime.

M5, we all cry with you when contemplating the loos of a cherished pet.
Let's hope that slim chance of recovery is realized.

Maria, I think I want to come visit for a lobster sandwich. Does that ever sound good.

I'm just in from the annual "Come Sing Messiah". Crummy weather - a bit snowy, but it didn't keep the crowd down. It's a long gig - rehearsal from 4:30 - 6 with hired soloists (and they were good) and time to go through the Overture and Pifa which are orchestra alone. A 15 minute break and then a rehearsal with the 750 chorus members from 6:15 - 7:30. Then at 8 pm, we run it and it winds up just before 10. The selections vary a little bit each year and this year included a couple that we've not done for a few years.

The conductor has been doing this event for 15 years and comes from Montreal (about 1 1/2-2 hours east of here, depending on how heavy your foot is). He's very funny and makes jokes constantly - usually based on the words of the music and related to how the chorus is singing. I wouldn't miss it.

The event is preceeded by several weekend rehearsals that people can attend to brush up on Messiah choruses and as a result, the quality of the singing is improving. Can you imagine being in the middle of 750 people singing the Hallelujah Chorus at the top of their lungs? It's a fabulous way to really kick off the Advent Season.

Well, DH arrived home - after I had left for rehearsal and is sleeping - 6 hour time change.

The weekend promises to be almost as busy as the last few days have been. An extra rehearsal with my bells tomorrow afternoon before we go to the Embassy next Friday. Sunday, I have a viola sectional with the violists of the OCO which has concerts on the 18th and 19th and that's followed by an evening rehearsal of the full orchestra.

And sometime during the weekend, I have to try to get the newsletter I do for the Canadian Viola society ready to go to the printer. Should have had that done a few weeks ago.

so, for now, Good Night.

Ann

Just back from my bath. Warmest I've been all day. Should have thought of that earlier. LOL
Carol Dr
Am saying prayers tonight for your son. Can't imagine how it must hurt to have to just sit there and not be able to *fix* things and make it right anymore. That's got to be really hard on a Mom. Don't blame you for wanting every minute with your younger one. Time goes by in a hurry. Gentle hugs being sent your way tonight.
Ann, you take my breath away just thinking about all that music. What that must be like to be smack in the middle of all that wonderful singing. Oh how I *do* love music.
Hey Judy ... I'm getting *really* good with those stars, aren't I? LOL Thanks for sharing. I saw where it was considered impolite to use caps on as that was considerated shouting ... but couldn't figure out any other way.
M5, here's hoping tomorrow will find your kitty improved. I pray for them, too.
To those I've missed ... have a good nights sleep. I intend to. I have so much to be thankful for.
Hugs&blessings ... Elaine
