Coffee and...For Saturday, Nov 19, 2005
Good, now I get to be the first one here for a change.
You all always go to bed before I do, since most people are back east. lol
In the picture posted are my two gorgeous sons.
I picked up the one on the left in the red shirt this morning. Was so glad to see him! I did give him lots of hugs to the point he said "Stop". hehe
Then we went over to the dental school in Portland, OR, to make sure we could find it on Monday okay. He was a little depressed when he saw it in real life. It was an old building while the rest of the building surrounding were mostly brand new. This is on what they call hospital hill. Guess the other schools he has interviewed at so far like Marquette Univ., Univ. of MD- Baltimore, and Arizona-Mesa, all are the new building with the state of art technology. So we shall see what happens. It would be in-state tuition for him tho.
We stopped at a factory outlet mall to look at the Nike store. He bought a pair of shorts and I didn't buy anything, I behaved very well. Then onto the regular mall to look around.
Ate lunch at Red Robin and had a very good long talk. We looked around the mall again and he was showing me what he wants to get his girlfriend soon.
I actually looked at rings with him!!! I am not ready for this at all!!!
He ended up going to lift weights with his dad so I worked in the garden for a bit and got some more bulbs planted. Still have a ways to go. Plus the dahlia plants are looking so so sad and need to be taken care of too. In time, I hope.
Then came home and cooked a good meal for him and his brother who is 18 and will graduate from hs in June. Then they went off to see friends tonight.
So all in all, it was a very good happy day for me.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Later, Carol (DR)
Nice photo!
DR~ Very handsome sons.
I'm impressed. Not just the looks but the fact that one actually wanted to go shopping with you, wow!
My daugher decided she was grown up enough to move out at 16. The laws here said she could do that without being "emancipated" by the courts and we could bring her home but couldn't make her stay. Now here's the catch 22. We couldn't legally make her stay home, but we were in trouble with the law if she was harmed while living away from us. We could be charged with neglect. Go figure.
The point being, I never stopped regretting that move and yearned for years to have those 2 years back. However, she stayed in school, dumped the boyfriend, now has 2 fine kids and a career. She also is very good to John and I and we all acknowledge that we made some bad mistakes in those days. I still pine a bit though.
Good Morning- just downed a tuna fish sandwich - how's that for a crazy breakfast!! (trying to stay clear of the oreos!) Finishing it off with a mug of hot cider.
Dr- handsome sons you have. Great smile (teeth) on the dentist to be!! I had braces for years when I was a teen, but refused to wear the headgear/bands and hence I have a snaggle mouth of teeth. One of my dumber moves in life! Beautiful teeth are so gorgeous looking!!
Ernie - tell me the symptoms of 'rotator cuff' problems. I've been wondering if that is what I have had all this time. Mine's no better, no worse, just constant pain. I can live with it, just would like to be free of it if I could.
Mary, you still busy canning? Do you ever just veg out and do nothing???
Geek - I need some highlighting done. I've done my own for several years, but I just love to sit in a chair and have someone else mess with my hair - I'll be over!! When I get mine cut/washed etc, I moan like a fool - it feels soooo good! I think I wasn't touched enough as a baby - I love to be rubbed still!! (I need to tell my mom that she didn't massage me enough!)
mg - WHAT a locked thread. Were you contacted and told what was wrong? I think it's just plain mom' s worrying about the safety of their kids! Hmmm, some things I just don't understand. Darius- could you get to the bottom of this??? LOL
I've nothing wonderful planned for this weekend- drat....I hate to waste a weekend just sitting home. DIL called me last night and told me not to order her any creative memory stuff (now this is after she gave me her wish list and I ALREADY ordered it!!) Long story, --Now I need to cancel my order- hope it's not too late . Did I ever tell ya that I hate holidays???
I'm melting some white candy coating stuff and will be dipping pretzels in it for a treat for us all. They'll be ready in time for coffee - you must have eaten breakfast first tho!!
take care all!
I thought I smelled melting candy!! Are the pretzels ready?
DR very nice picture and hope for those of us with teens - maybe someday they'll be seen with us in public again?
I have lots of fun planned for the weekend, it all seems to involve dog hair removal though.
Good morning all,
Ernie - you may well have posted about Linda's surgery, but sometimes I miss things when I skim messages because of time constraints. Having had a rotator cuff injury (freak accident - not viola related) a few years ago which kept me off my viola for 3 months, I sympathise. I was fortunate to avoid surgery, but I don't think the shoulder will ever be quite what it was.
Carol (DR) - you do indeed have two handsome sons and a right to be very proud indeed.
Well better get to work. My house is a shambles, I have food cupboard work to do, need groceries and have an orchestra rehearsal this afternoon.
TTYL
Ann
Morning all
It is 45 degrees here, and that's cold for this south GA girl. The rain I spoke about the other day consisted of about 15 drops. I spoke too soon, but was proud of what we got.
Carol, I know you're very proud of your sons and had a great visit. It must be very nice to have one that age that enjoys being with his Mom. I know y'all are bursting with pride.
Since I don't have children ... the only stories I can tell are similar to Ernie's. My baby use to eat everything. I think it's just something to do with golden's and lab's. She's a bit better now that she's old, but she's gotten into a plenty in her day.
Oh, that candy sure sounds good. Everyone sure seems to be in a baking mood around here. I love the fact that I can eat all the goodies I want in this kitchen and never gain an ounce. ;)
I'm going to do a bit of Christmas shopping today. Have a couple of things picked out for my MIL and have already purchased my 2 nieces's. This is way more than usual for me.
Hello to Maria, Sarv, Julie, McCool, Kelly, Hap, Darius, MG, Deafocat and everyone else I've missed. Hope everyone has a wonderful week-end.
... Elaine
Good Morning! I keep forgetting to bring in the button-size lithium batteries for my digital scale so I can see if eating all these cyber goodies has affected my weight!
Ann, sure wish I could hear your orchestra. While I'm in Gainesville, FL for the winter maybe I can go hear some. I'm sure a big university town must have some symphony.
IO1, how's the headache?
MG, how's the DH?
Carol (DR), handsome young men you have!
Woodspirit, how's the greenhouse coming along?
M5, thanks for responding about the cowlick and salt lick on Friday's thread. I wasn't on the computer last night and would have been very tardy with an answer.
Good am to all........second post. The first is the second post that has not been posted in two days. What is going on?
Morning to all, anyway. Busy today cleaning up after my elephant footed gardener. Hope I can save some coleus cuttings. I was just noting how lovely a little begonia was the other day.....Guess what.....it's gone by the way of Big Foot. Hardly can wait to see what Gamma does...
What handsome son's you have, DR. Better lock them away for a couple of years... You'll need a cattle prod to keep the girls
away. lol
Don't worry about the scale, Darius, take my word. I gain weight with all the goodies here. It must be them because I never cheat at home. (hanging my head laughing)
Sarv. my crazy daughter loves LeSeur (sp) green peas out of the can, COLD. for breakfast. Have no idea where she got that from. UGH.
Have a great day folks. Will be lurking as usual. Got to get started on Thanksgiving, having 18 here. Wlll start with polishing the silver today and get that out of the way.
Hugs.
Hap
Hap, wanna polish my silver too? I hate that job but always like the results.
Polishing here too getting ready for Thanksgiving wow lots to do everyone very busy here too!!!!
Will be checking in between silver polishing and napkin ironing and table cloth ironing LOL
Great cool fall day here!!!
Hope everyone has a good day!!
Anne
Great looking boys!!!! DR!!
Morning Everyone!
DR, Carol~~How old is your son again? Wow, what a cutie!
Ernie, my dad has had 3 surgeries on his right rotator cuff and it is still pretty messed up. Give Linda a gentle {{{Linda}}} from me, ok?
Sarv, you eat worse than my 15 year old. *rolleyes*
Hi Elaine! I'm getting bitten by the baking bug too!
Happy, I keep finding your posts tacked on to the end of a previous day or sometimes even farther back. Kinda weird, lol.
MMBB, you iron what? Wow am I a lazy person compared to you.
Darius, I always had the job of polishing Mom's silver, a job I detest to this day. And why haven't you clued me in on the RULES yet? Come on, you know about everything that goes on around here!
Julie, where is the garlic for the PV? Get much sleep last night? Pot still simmering?
I'm not ignoring anyone else, I'm just brain dead today!
Dh is doing ...... Fill in your own word there. He is grumpy enough about it that if I ask how he is feeling I run the risk of losing a body part. He acts like admitting if he is in pain is a sign of weakness. But the fuss he can make about a sliver, grrr!!! But I'm silently making him suffer, lol, I told Jenna that Daddy is very sore so she is playing Nurse to him and driving him nuts. Don't get me wrong here, there is very little that Jenna can do to seriously upset DH, he is completely wrapped around her finger. So he huffs and puffs, grumbles and groans and rolls his eyes alot, but lets her "take care" of him. Last night he made the mistake of saying he was cold so she had him covered head to toe in baby blankets!
I'm going to get off here for a bit and unload my digital camera so I can post a few pics for you all. I can't do that and be connected to the internet at the same time. My slow old 'puter can't walk and chew gum at the same time, lol.
Have a Bloomin' Day!
Thank you all for your nice comments on my two boys. Yes, I am proud of them but I will say they do keep me going with a challenge every day. But that is life and I would be bored otherwise.
The dental school one is already thinking about getting married so.... Not sure if I am happy or not tho. She is a nice girl but I think she is boring compared to him. But maybe that is what he needs to keep his life straight with all the activities he does.
Woods, am glad to hear that your DD straighten out and has a good family now. Teenagers are a hand full and you never really know how they will turn out.
Sarv, pass those wc pretzels over. Could use some sugar this morning. Am goiing outside to brave the cold to dig some more dahlia tubers while the boys are still sleeping. Thanks for the comments on the boys teeth. They take after me as for the large teeth tho I am only 5' tall but big mouth, I guess. Spent enough on their braces so.... Can understand about how you as a kid were stupid. If we were all smart as kids, we would be so much better off in life.
Hap, good to see that you are back here.
Elaine, I understand about pets being your baby. I have seveal cats and they can be as spoiled as my boys.
Well, outside and then in to make a good waffle breakfast for the boys.
Later, Carol (DR)
MG, all the 'Rules" are in the Acceptable Use Policy and the link is at the very bottom of this page.
Sarv, the thread about the bus vandalism didn't break the rules but the conversation in the thread was in danger of doing so. If the thread had been in violation, the Admins would have removed it. As it is, they left it but closed it so no one got into controversy and politics.
Darius, you should be packing, hehehehe
Hope all is going well with you packing up your stuff tho.
darius, that's like saying "I like a clean house but hate to clean house." (My motto).
I just took another picture of the greenhouse effort. We have added 2 more windows and are going hunting for a door today. I will try to post them in this thread today.
I also still have more tulips to plant this weekend and more plants to cut back and mulch....
Good thinking. Dave's right on it as usual. Easy to go astray of AUP with a bunch of active subscribers opinions. Foggy and cold this morn. Wanted to go to the Fairgrounds for the Whidbey Island Kennel Club's dog show this morning. Might have to wait for the afternoon sessions.
Carol, real handsome boys you have there. Waffles for breakfast sounds great, got an extra one ?
Alas and alack ! polishing the silver became such a chore for the servants that I had to get rid of it so they could have enough time to mow the mansion's thousand acre lawn.lol With TG nearing it is time to bring out the good stainless.
Sarv, with so many new varieties of Oreos how can you settle for pretzels, even candy coated ones ?
Julie, Carol, Carol, Jas, Wspirit, Sarv, DM, Ann, Elaine, Darius, bu, MG, and Hap, and those I've missed, have the best of all possible weekends, free of the pain and suffering of those irritating, though sometimes necessary, male spouses, and a happy Thanksgiving. (In spite of the usual irritations and set-backs, there is so much to be thankful for)
Brrr, too cold to go outside, too lazy to do anything inside, although I started pastry to make pasties and discovered I don't have enough lard so that's postponed until I make a run to the market. Meat and onion are diced, so there's no rush. Peel the spuds later. We are invited to DGS' s for Thanksgiving, so I dont even have to go hunt down a fresh turkey. And no big mess to clean up here!! DH is off all next week using up vacation because he can't carry any days over and use them next year.
Darius, in spite of the fact that my brain is filled with useless trivia and out of date information the cowlick info didn't come out of it, I just Googled until I found a site that had the origin of the word. I love Google...they have a new map system that you can use to get an arial view of your neighborhood!!!
DR, those boys are just too darn cute. Getting married should be the farthest thing from the mind of anyone that age! No point in debating it with them though, it just makes them more resolute.
It's probably my fault the thread got locked about the bus incident, as my suggestion of what to do with the perpetrators was not very politically correct. As are many of my opinions...........
Gayle, I think it's a hoot that your darling girl is taking care of your DH!! Hahahaha.....kill 'im with kindness!! He'll be better in no time! They are really pathetic when they are ill or injured, just can't deal with it. Last night DH was wincing and making it obvious that his sciatica was bothering him, so I finally handed over my new best friend (heating pad) and suggested he might like to use it. He hesitated only VERY briefly..........LOL
dMcD, I don't think I've greeted you properly to coffee....have seen you in my daily thread cruisings..at any rate, welcome. I've been kind of absent lately what with my annoying back problem, but always glad to see some newbies joining us. You can look back on previous threads all the way back to last year at this time if you want to make yourself crazy.....LOL
Sarv, I've gotten the Burt's Bees products at Walgreens, and also see it in our supermarkets, it shouldn't be hard to find. It does work well, I picked up some of the cuticle cream....too bad, the cats like it too, it must have a little mint or something in it!!
Well, I'm either going to read for a while or take a nap, or both! I'm trying to remember if my DD has one of those Scunzi steam cleaners, might try that on the windows. Or not!! Maybe I'll wait until next week when DH has so much spare time on his hands......!!
Edited to add, has anyone seen the new Oreos that are dipped in milk chocolate? Don't stand between me and the bag of those!!! They are addictive and delicious, but not too good for dunking. Fine with me, I don't like Milk unless it's hot and has cocoa in it.

M5 thanks for the welcome - yup i see you over in pets a lot! Funny my alleriges don't act up over there (as opposed to my livingroom for instance).. They keep that place clean!!
A picture of you toting a rifle in camo "hunting down a fresh turkey" kind of startled me, wondered if that's how they do it in Wisconsin!! To take to your...grandson's? That's a very cool gramma in my book. Glad you're off the hook for the turkey anyway, it's cold out there!!
I cleared all the seeds from the table - and the husks, debris, labels etc. and I will even wipe it down before the big day. Yippee! And the stainless is in the dishwasher, where it belongs.
darius are you doing TG at home?
Lunch time!! Stopped at Wendy's and got a burger and a senior drink!! I laugh to myself when ordering that!! Kid at the pay window (I always to thru the drive thru) said - hey you look familiar - he went to the school that I taught at - hmmmm wonder if I had a reputation! Oh, who cares...
Man, did I get a deal!!! Went to Linens and More looking dor a chaffing dish. They had a $49 dollar one on sale for $19 a couple of weeks back and I forgot to look at it. Anyhow, clerk says "nope - all out" - then ten minutes later chased me down and screamed "I found one that was returned!!!!!" Got that baby for $16 bucks (coupon in my purse I found!!) Yahoo - I am a happy camper!! Gonna put pigs in the blanket in it for the holidays...Merry Christmas to Sueeeeeeee.
Went to Sears (xmas tree for $29) Ya right- think they had 3 and they went in the first 5 min of the sale. That disgusts me SOOOO much. Sears- are ya listening!!!! This has happened to me more than once at YOUR store. Did fine a pumpkin top for 50% off, but then thought, xmas pictures wearing pumpkin??? naaa- won't look the best- passed on that deal.
My shopping buddy didn't want to shop, DIL is sick, DH (never shops with me!!) Nuts, weather is gorgeous and I want to head back out... Won't someone go with me??? I'll spring for a treat...
Yeh,, after the silver comes the linens....
A few years ago when my husband's daughter and grandkids were here I started to do some ironing. The eldest, then about 7, came over to me, pointed at the iron and asked, "What's that".....after I stopped laughing and then shaking my head I explained what it was. "OH" was his comment. Guess his mother won't that this chore to do this week....lol The kids today have no idea how it is to graciously entertain. It's going to be a lost art. (Right Maria) Manners and etiquette are a thing of the past. It's pretty sad when industries have to offer etiquette courses to their staff.
Off the box for now......shouldn't get started about the ol' days.....
Now about those Oreos.....I am shopping impaired, I guess. Don't go down the cookie isle on purpose...My DH does all the damage that I can handle. "I just want to taste them".....boy, I taste and then finish off the lot.
Well Big Foot has just finished off the rest of the shade garden taking out the traveler's palms that were damaged. Gone on the Rex begonia, miniature caladiums, coleus, etc. If I wasn't so tired I would sit and cry right now.
Sarv, can I have a pretzel please? My son loves those new dipped oreo's also.
I think we have a polishing fest going on because that is what I am taking a break from right now. I love how it shines on Thanksgiving day but I hate the tedious job.
Bal, you are so kind to the natives....
Happy, I am hoping the best for your damaged plants, and hopefully that Gamma will disappear.
Hi to everyone else. I have got some polishing to finish up, and then to do the ceiling fans. Have a wonderful day all.
Per Terry:
I think we all would agree this is unspeakably despicable. However, we have a "no current events" rule at DG for some tried-and-true reasons, one of which is these issues can quickly go from everyone agreeing to a major clash of ideas and opinions.
My confusion:
I do have another problem it seems. My bus thread was locked because I apparently violated the "no current events policy". I reread the AUP, and I can't find any mention of this policy there, or in the FAQ. Is there another place I need to be aware of? Or is this more of an unwritten rule that no-one told a newbie about? I didn't mention politics or religion, carefully worded my post to stay "G" rated, provided the link so it could be verified, but I still broke the rules. I really don't want to get banned or anything like that, so I need to KNOW about these rules. Someone PLEASE help me out here?
Per Darius:
MG, all the 'Rules" are in the Acceptable Use Policy and the link is at the very bottom of this page.
Sarv, the thread about the bus vandalism didn't break the rules but the conversation in the thread was in danger of doing so. If the thread had been in violation, the Admins would have removed it. As it is, they left it but closed it so no one got into controversy and politics.
I'm really not trying to be argumentative and I refuse to be snarky, but there is NO mention of this "no current events" policy in the AUP, that is precisely the reason I asked for help in the first place.

Is anyone ELSE confused as well?
Sarv - Did I just see TUNA FISH for breakfast!!! You crack me up girl.
DR - Very Handsome boys you have there
Meezer - It might be my fault as well that the bus thread got locked. That story just got me so riled.
Today is going a lot faster than I am. Not getting much done. Washed half the kitchen floor. as soon as i'm done here I'll go move stuff to the other side and do the other half. Started some laundry.
Last night we went to see the new Johny Cash movie, Walk the LIne. It was pretty good. I had always thought he really did spend time in jail, but he didn't (except for a brief stay for a drug bust). DH and I have been married for 19 years and that is only the 2nd time we have gone out to the movies. We usually just wait for them to come out on cable so we can sit in our recliners to watch them.
Dreading dinner with MIL tonight. Should be in for a couple of hours of complaining about the rest of the family. As long as I can manage to keep my big mouth shut everything should be ok. Maybe someone should hide the 2x4 so I can't get at it. LOL
Well back to work. Didn't mean to ignore anyone, Just trying to hurry through. See ya later.
suzie, I feel for you.....for I also have Hoof and Mouth Disease...
My MIL lived accross the street from the farmhouse where she grew up and left it to my husband and me when we got married. My children learned a lot from her about manners , she was a true victorian lady, the last discentant in her familly, I could right a book about all the sterling silver she ended up with all the way back from the 17 hundreds. She made certain her granddaughters new good manners, and they learned very well and still set a table that is a joy to behold, Much of that silver was left to me, each of my 2 daughters, three gd and 1 ggd have sets for 12 I gave them plus many dozend of serving pieces and several tea sets, etc.
I did not want to keep them,, too much work for one person to polish, besides I have my own for 24 people, and I chose it because it is
called VIENNA lol
You all are very busy with cooking and baking, I am busy with Samson, making sure he is learning all the things he is suppose to know, but he has a mind of his own and wants to do what HE wants to do, Is this not just like a male of any species?? Tiresome, very, very tiresome lol
Good Morning...oops...make that afternoon...to everyone!
Welcome to our newbies...get wishes to those who need them...and thanks for thinking of me occasionally. :-)
Gayle, I have to agree with Terry on the Bus vandelism from the standpoint that the thread topic itself didn't cross any lines of violation of the AUP...but it *could* bring emotions to the surface that in turn *could* cause a political uproar...and then there would be violation. My opinion is such that we all know "the rules" of DG, and we all like the general feeling of 'peace and quiet' here (DG) that we can use when we need to shut out the effects of the outside world.
And, for the most part, DG doesn't have the animosity and bickering that I've seen on far too many other sites. For that I am deeply grateful. So, I'm not really confused about the thread issue. I'm just glad that you were able to bring to the attention of many parents who might just be concerned about the possibility of that type of thing happening in their own schools and to their own children.
I didn't really mean to get into that particular discussion...but since I did, and since I'm truly able to understand both sides of the matter, I think we need to consider the matter closed before the Coffee and...thread gets 'ticketed' for unnecessary debate. ;-)
Now...as for me...I'm tired. "Someone" was talking in *my* sleep. hehehe
~julie~
Oh Gayle! I forgot. PV? Pickled Vermin? You *gotta* have garlic for them! LOL
~julie~
MG, let it go. It's not worth getting riled up about and maybe kicked off. Write lots of letters to your newspaper editor instead, and your politician, etc.
Maria, I didn't think those invisible fences were all that expensive. Of course, I don't know how much area you have, either.
Hap, I can just see you chasing down a small, fast dog!
I sure was quite a picture.....where is Candid Camera when you need them? Just Archie and me running though the yards; him laughing his head off and me flailing my arms all about...Shih tsu's are not known for winning any obedience medals. And my poor this is deaf, selectively that is...It's strange how he can hear me whisper, "yummie?"....."Ride"........"Car"!!! He's a little stinker.
I know I've missed a lot, but what on God's Green Earth is Pickled Vermin? Is this a Julie thing? With garlic, it has to be good...hehehe
Marie, I also had a Very Victorian Grandmother. When she was young her brothers and sisters, (she was the eldest of 12) used to call her Queen Victoria. As they say the apple does not fall far from the tree. I get too stuffy at times, I know, but that's the way I was brought up and I'm glad. There is such satisfaction so set a nice table and then stand back and admire it. My mother and I always did that before we had a dinner party and now my daughter and I do it. It's a good tradition we have and Lord knows, we don't have many left anymore.
The dog "fences" are expensive if you have them put in, but my DH did ours for about $140. We bought the kit through the net and he installed it. With no frost or snow, he just put it under the grass and it works fine until I use a spade or the gardener comes though with his weed whacker. But it's easily repairable and it gives something for DH to do.
Time to shower and get to the silver. Can put it off too much longer...Heaven knows if I don't do it no one else will. DH always asks me if I have to do this every time. I always say yes. Then he suggests the dip-it stuff. I then explain it will take all the patina away and make it look like stainless. He says OH.....It's our holiday routine....
See ya kids....don't talk too much or I can't keep up...hehehe
BTW, (here I go again.....) have any of you downloaded the Firefox with Google toolbar? It has spell check and it's the cat's meow.....
GM all! And yes, it's still morning here in the PNW. Woohoo! DH is up and working in the WC getting the floor repaired so we can have the tile people come lay the new floor. I canny wait as me Mum would say, I'm tired of struggling with only one WC.
DH leaves tomorrow morning for SEMBACH, Germany for a week. He has to go visit his troops deployed there and will spend T-day with them. Yay! I get the house and the WC all to myself while he's gone! *heheheh*
We went to supper last night with several (35) active duty and spouses from the Command. They had a Surf & Turf Buffet before the show and I stuffed myself on Dungeoness Crab legs and Butter Clams cooked in garlic and white wine. Ohhhh, it was soooo delicious and an all-you-can-eat, so I oinked! We saw the Carlos Mencia show afterwards. Whoa, my ears are still flaming. But it was a great show, and of course, not PC (thank goodness in my book) but funny never-the-less.
Today is my day off. I mean, really, I'm not going anywhere I don't have to if it's not an emergency. I've not had a single day in several weeks that I've not had to be somewhere, take care of someone, go rescue someone/thing, handle problems with whomever, etc. I'm keeping my drapes closed, the answering machine on with the volume turned up so I can monitor calls and I'm taking the day off! Whew!
I send my regards to all, hope you each have a lovely weekend and whatever you are facing in this life, I hope you find happiness and an answer to all your worries and questions.
With respect and care, ~Babs~
P.S. Oh, and Ernie, not to worry about you taking care of the DW. I'm sure she's ever grateful for your assistance and ministrations, even if YOU feel inadequate. Remember, spouses are like children, they don't come with owner/operator manuals and you'll just have to trust your instincts. As long as you don't draw blood, break any bones or have any body fluids leaking from anywhere, you're doing a good job. If you notice any of those things happening, call 911, they are trained professionals and I'm sure they can patch up whatever faux pas you may make. LOL *wink* I'm sure you're doing a wonderful job :-)
Don't ever use the dip stuff on any sterling . the patina is the best part of its value and appearance, besides it alway takes part of the silver away.I add to my silver container silica gel, some times when one buys a certain item such as a pair of shoes a little package of it is included it also helps to keep mildew away for books, Any way, I never throw them away but add to the silver.
My fence, spaced over an acre was $2000.00 which included lessons

You've never HAD PV??? Why, that's just unbelievable! Oh wait...you're not from around here. (IA / WI) We have strange customs. LOL
~julie~
Good Afternoon all,
Just got done in the Salon for the day. Bill left last night for their big Man Holiday (opening weekend of gun deer season),,,won't be home til Sun. night,,,,Vacation for Kelly,,,,,Yeehaa.
Darn, I Always forget the w in Cowlick,,,,,you'd think that seeing as how I work with them ALL day I would get the spelling correct,,,oh well,,,,they are still a pain in the butt no matter if they're spelled correctly or not.
sarv,
C'mon over,,,we'll have you fixed up in a jiffy. And yeah, blame Mom,,,That always makes me feel better.
Wanted to get a ton of stuff done today,,,but am not feeling the best so I think a nice nap is in order.
Wanted to take time to chat more but, will check in later.
Kelly
I bet "strange" is putting it mildly, Julie...
Ok, I'll take the bait. What is pickled vermin? I know what I'm thinking, but I'm sure it must be something edible, just not what the name conjures up for me :-)
;-) You got it!
~julie~
Now Julie,,,,be honest with our friends,,,,not everyone in WI eats PV,,,,,I sure don't,,,,but then, I grew up near Chicago,,,didn't transplant until 14 years ago,,,,so, I'm not a native,,,LOL
Kelly,,,,going to take a nap now
