Hey, Twyla! :) You're not alone...There's been a thread here about that very thing. It's just been a while. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/481589/

I think it's more personal to wish Happy Birthday's in forums that are used most by certain members.
That way the people sending the greetings are ones you are familar with.

While I don't know which forums certain people go to the most, I'd still like to wish them a happy .....not have to search the forums to find their "haunts". Jo

also some people have no one and lonely it would maybe cheer them up, get to know others..

I try to go check subscribers everyday and send a d-mail to most if I know them and have had positive interaction. One person who has been repeatedly mean and ugly to me sent very sweet BD wish. No thanks.
I do like to surprise some with BD threads in their usual forum haunts.

I try to send a note or post it in a thread the person has going. I don't get a chance to do it regularly but wish I had more time. I think getting a d-mail or a post in a thread is better than a forum because it is unexpected and more genuine, but that is just my opinion.

Sidney, I apologize if I missed your birthday, Happy Birthday!

Rachel
