Arlene,
Sorry I wasn't home when you called, had to babysit tonite. :-)
I will try to find a few moments tomorrow to sneak in a call to you about Sunday. Trying to figure out what to bring also. It looks like were having a Greek type luncheon...how about a Greek Salad, or give me something else to bring that would go with everything else, ok?
I have several Red Amarylis bulbs that I dug up last week, is anyone interested in some? I can bring about 7-8 large bulbs.

Garden Party in Orange County
I have invited Ginny, a new Dave's Gardener to come along with us. She is going to bring a salad, she mentioned spinach and hard boiled eggs.

We are covered for food; just bring your lovely self
I would love a bulb or two from you. I realize that I have a healthy Cleradendrom Ugandense that I can share with someone; we will have to dig it.
looking forward to Sunday!
Sounds like you guys are going to have alot of fun. Great weather too. I'll miss you all...please include me in the next one.
Oh Louise,
I'm so sorry you cant' make it tomorrow. I was so hoping to see you again.
Hugs,
Donna
Settled on the sandwiches; so go to the first post to read about them.
One has a lot of garlic the other has a bit of heat to it.
hope everyone will like either one or the other.
Today is beautiful ~ no wind ~ hope tomorrow will be the same so we can enjoy the out of doors!
Hi Donna, Have a wonderful time. Had promised one of my daughter's that I'd drive her patio set over to her house that my neighbor gave her. She's only off on Sunday's...next time. Get lots of plants everybody!
Well, it is official. There is no way I am going to make it. This stupid cold has gotten the better of me and I am going to sleep in tomorrow. Everyone have a great time!!!!
Sorry, Janis
Get well soon; we will miss you

Oh I wish I could come, have a great time!!!!!

Wow! Did I get set straight!
I had a Thunbergia Batascombi planted in the wrong place; JasperDale and Donna showed me where I should move it.
I also had a Clerendendon Ugandese planted in a place and it was giving my tropical hibiscus trouble. Donna took one home and I have already transplanted another into a large pot to put by the pool. It's really pouting but JaspDale assured me it will probably come out of it.
What would I do without you guys?
Thanks for all the great information!
In the foreground you can see the Ugandense overpowering my tropical hibiscus. I love the plant but can't be having it give my trop. hibiscus grief.
"spin" won the door prize; sorry I didn't take a picture of it; it was the most beautiful orchid - one yellow petal and the rest with brown stripes on it. I have never tried to grow orchids and found a wealth of info on them from our dear George!
I am the one with stripey's on me; then Donna (SoCal), Ginny, JasperDale, George & Sue
Edited to say, sorry . . . I know some asked not to have their pics posted and I may have goofed; please email me if it was anyone in this pic and I will see if Admin will remove it. Guess I got carried away.

Mike,
I learned Sooooo much from you. Thank-you for sharing so much cultural info . . . you helped me so much. And thank you so much for helping with clean-up. That made finishing up the day so much easier for me.
Arlene, thanks for a very fun day. Sue, Ginny, and I had a great time. It is so nice to meet fellow Dave's Gardeners.
I had a wonderful time. It was great to meet and talk to everyone. The food was yummy, too.
Thank you, Arlene, for making it happen.
Stop it you guys, you're making me jealous! I'm glad you enjoyed your day, think of me yesterday, toiling in the shed putting up pegboard! And sweating too, it was hot!
Sorry I haven't checked in yet. I crashed when I got home Sun. nite and yesterday was a very busy day and wasn't on DG for but a few minutes.
Arlene, thanks for the gathering of our little group. The food was awesome and I want that recipe for the chicken curry pitas, please. I also thank you for the big Cleodendrum you gave me. She is in a pot at this time, and looks a little sad from being dug up, but she'll be fine in no time.
It was so nice to meet 3 new people from DG, Ginny, Jasperdale and Quyen. Spin brought 2 guests with her...her step sister and hubby. It was so nice to meet them also.
I am off this morning to Knott's Berry Farm for a few hours today. They are having a special deal for Vets this week and we are taking my grandson, DD and SIL. I will post the few pictures I took soon.
Thanks again Arlene. Hope your enjoying this beautiful weather were having here in SoCal this week.
Donna
Blurry but this is the variegated bougainvillea "Double Delight". From Thailand, its is also supposed to be excellent for pots and hanging baskets; the bracts are supposed to be a two tone pale pink and white. ( I knew I would not have bought one that had those bright pink common colored flowers you see en masse all over SoCal. Right now I intend to keep it controlled as a ground cover.
