This site has Poland on Atlantic time, one-half hour ahead of Newfoundland time. That just isn't possible.

And New Zealand has same as California time.

I'm not certain - but it think I noted that some where in the site it was said that all times would be recorded in Eastern Standard Time (US).

Dyson, I think what Ulrich is referring to is that in everyone's personal preferences, you can designate your time zone. My guess is the time zones are incorrect for some countries based on something faulty in our script, or in the data where Dave gets the translation codes. Or someone has chosen incorrect times for their location - Ulrich, can you tell me how you determined the times were off?

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

Yes, Terry. Go to the Member List, then to New Zealand. There are seven subscribers. Their times are all over the place for me.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Shrug. It's because they've all got their times set to various timezones. It's up to each user to properly set their "clocks" so there's not much we can do from here, unless we simply put everyone back on Eastern Time. (The double-edged sword of giving users a lot of leeway to customize their data is that some will, some won't, and some don't know how.)

If you notice someone's time is off and it really bugs you, you can send them an email and ask them to correct it. It's easy for any member to get to the timezone list - just click on the "My Info" link above, then select "Manage your preferences".

Well, that explains UU's observation then.
I, too, thought it was up to Dave.

Right. The only people who get their timezone set automatically are those folks in the US.

I am on Eastern time, so if that is the default they would not be an hour ahead of me,

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

UUallace, anyone can change their time that is displayed on their member page. Many people (unfortunately) have chosen an incorrect time zone, and there's not a practical way for us to re-set nearly 200,000 clocks, unless we declare defeat and put everyone back Eastern Time, US. (Not likely to happen, unless the time zone code becomes too much hassle for Dave to fool with.)

Valinda, CA(Zone 10a)

For those who are concerned about someones time, why don't you D-mail them and explain how they should set there time. I don't see that it is something that Dave or Terry need to be concerned with.
