Jan, I use godaddy. It's not very expensive, and they have templates that are easy to use. Are you selling from your site? I sell from mine, and don't bother with shopping carts, etc., when someone orders, I do send a simple invoice from paypal.

BUT, you might consider a blog, instead. I have my blog on blogger.com

I have a special project that I'm chronicalling on a blog, you can add text and photos really easily, and others can comment, and it's free.

Any way I can help you, let me know, just send me a pm if that's more convenient.

Thanks, I have never designed a website before and I don't have a clue what to put on it. I am not going to be selling at this time I just want to display my art work. Maybe later I will sell. I am just not sure how I want it to look. Have to think on that for a while.

Hey Jan,

I don't know if you have Front Page or not, but it's a very simple "what you see is what you get" web page maker. So you can design your webpage on Front Page. Then you upload it to a site with the click of a button.

Netfirms and Yahoo have been offering domains for $1.99 to $5/yr recently. You'll need a domain, and you'll need someone to host it. I got a domain thru Netfirms and when I signed up, they had a free web hosting for a small site. So all it costs me is $5/yr to be online. You can pick your own name and choose .com, .org. or .net. They may have others now. But those are the common ones.

It would help if you know HTML but if you don't, using Front Page is a snap, almost as easy as writing an email.
