probably nothing.

this one was hard for me to get any seeds off this year. the bees prefered my others over this one. try hand pollinating it and see if you get any that way.

I got pretty many seeds off this one and didn't do anything special except neglect it. I grew it up at my daughters house and was quite charmed by it and will definately grow it in my garden next year. Do you need seeds for next season?

Thank you for the offer, Sandy. I kept a few back when I planted so I should have enough to start out next season.

same here i neglected it and it is full of seeds i had it in 2 places and both did well not as good as all the other purpurea but i think that is due to the bloom being feathered so it isnt as easy to get to.
All my feathered ones were like that plenty of seed pods but the other purpurea had tons more seed pods.
MY JMG's did ok i wish i had planted them sooner then i might have gotten more seeds.
and my tricolors gave me less seeds than any of them.

I think i will start lots more of them in the sunroom next time so i can get them in the ground sooner and get a few more seeds,... I Hope.

Did any of you notice if it took longer for the SS to bloom.
It was the last one to bloom for me as well as indigo feathers and purple feathers they all took longer to bloom than my others and they were all planted at the same time and in similar places.

My SS was the 1st MG to bloom here in zone 4/5. And its still blooming!

I had several Jap mg's not set seed this year, or give me very very few of them,

I hear that's a trait with the jap morning glories, don'tknow, wish I did. I was happy I got any at all out of some of them LOL
