I just was browsing the member list at http://davesgarden.com/memberlist/viewby.php?showonlysubbers=1&area=state&arg1=pa&sort=country&o=asc&offset=60 and noticed the font for the current page is really large. Really, really large! LOL
Actually, I see it's not just there, but in other places where there's a denotation of one's place in multiple pages.
I wasn't sure if it was intentional or if it was a bug, so I thought I'd post and let you know. Picture attached:

Font size in member list
You may need to do the old 'Ctrl' + 'Scroll Wheel' trick again.
Everything looks normal here.
But the "2" my example is really big and bold compared to the other numbers, like Arnold Schwartzenager in a room full of dwarves. Scrolling the font up and down changes the fonts, but but that particular number remains big in comparison to the others.
Was DG down for a few minutes just now? I am on dial-up because our cable's out, and I couldn't get DG to load.
Yes, I had changed the "current page number" to be larger, to make it easier to see which page you are on. I got praised in another thread for the decision. :-)
best,
dave
Praise from me too,Dave. I like it.
What do you think, GW? Cool or no?
I like the idea, but maybe it's the color that jars me. What about making the placeholder number the same font color as the hyperlinked numbers, but keeping the large size?
If it was the same color, then folks will get confused thinking that it, like the other numbers, is clickable.
I see your reasoning - just my personal aesthetic. :)
I think it's cool. When I'm going through a string of pages, it's nice to know how far I've gotten and where I am. Then if I have to leave it for a day or so, I can easily pick back up where I was. Providing I can remember what page I left off at. I realize this may not work on the forums, since the threads are always being brought back to the front and such.
I find this especially helpful when going through the photos I've submitted, or entries I've made to PF. If I can rememer what page it is on, I can find it much faster.
Thanks Dave!
I like the more prominent number - being nearsighted, it's easy to see exactly where I am without any squinting.
