I got an email from Carla a few days ago and they are planning on moving to Texas soon. They are all doing well.

And Hi! Dispatcher! I haven't seen many of your posts, either! Hope you are doing well...we just drove over to Indiana (Madison) yesterday for a "Fall Color" drive along the river and I thought of you!

Our leaf colors are spectacular this year! Maybe next time you can come up to Seymour and Jackson Co. Our State forestry and Wildlife refuge are good Leaf ppeping sites. I'm in my usual depression as the weather takes the garden for another year. Next spring seems so far away right now. I wonder why Carla isn't a member anymore. I really miss her cheerful posts. Lou

Yes, I am rather glum about winter coming, too, although today's weather was pretty beautiful and nothing to complain about.

I have been busy putting in lots of spring bulbs and studying DG photos and looking through gardening books. Oh, also, cleaning closets, too. Ick.

To kill the gloom, I am thinking about taking up Knitting (again) (all those pretty yarn colors, you know!) . I was never very good at it as a girl, but maybe something has happened to me since then and I can count better now!

Are you painting? We still have your plaque on our mantle!

You may be surprised when we show up in Seymour someday...and until then, why don't you post some of your pics on DG so I can see your garden progress. I know you have wonderful plants and flowers. If you get down this way, be sure to call me up and I will meet you for lunch.

Lou, I was surprised when you said Carla wasn't a member anymore, and have been checking DG. Her DG name is Smiln32 and she is still a member. There is no Smilin32.

She hasn't been a member since June or July. You can find her under extras, address exchange and then click on smilin32.

Carla's user name has only one "i" - Smiln32. She left DG several months ago, even though her profile still appears.
