Kell, you flowers are lovely as always. Haven't we been blessed with gorgeous weather lately? I can't believe my good fortune to garden in shorts mid November! Hopefully we don't have to make up for it with a long, wet start of spring like earlier this year.
Donna, good luck in your new home. Sending prayers that your PooBear recovers quickly and fully.
Kell, many good thoughts are with you this first holiday period without your mom.
Best,
~Angela
It is a beautiful day here.
Kell these pictures are so refreshing, much better than your new thread "Disgusting" LOL
I wish your family could all be together for Thanksgiving, but like me a sacrifice has to be made in one direction, to make other's happy, I hope you have a Blessed Thanksgiving,
Well, it's much cooler here so maybe Tibuchina will be happy if it can take a rainy area. What do you think, kell? Also where do you buy these?
Edited to say I see they are not hardy here. Can they be cut back and mulched and come back and bloom the next year?

Thanks Angela and Doris. I hope we all have a lovely day. I do have so much for which to be thankful. Funny, my boy called me last night late. He couldn't sleep. He wants to come home for Thanksgiving. He misses us too! It is just too late to change his plans.
Gee Betty I just do not know. They are sold in nurseries here. Though eBay has had them too. I do know one year we had the worst long freeze. Mine died all th eway back, but the next summer they came up from the ground. So there is hope for you!! The grow fast too!
kelly, did they bloom in the same year they came up from the ground?
Sure did. They grow very fast and bloom their heads off. Try a real protected area also Betty! Plant it early spring so it gets a deep root system before winter. Why don't you go ask on the Tropical Forum if anyone has pushed the zone on these.
oh, kell, i hope my boy stays close to me when he grows up, and calls me when he can. i don't want to become one of those moms whose own kids dread to call...lol.
i'm sure you'll be thinking many happy thoughts of your mom especially as the holidays draw near.
looks like i may hang around and make a feast here at home. i'm waiting for some brugs overseas, and i don't know when the package will get here. i won't even try writing in FRENCH.
Kell, your garden is so GORGEOUS, I'll just need to come live in it! :~) Besides, our "boys" switched East Coast for West Coast and visa versa, so it makes sense to me!! You could come and live in my garden will you visit your son and siblings. I know that this Thanksgiving will be a difficult one for you, but try to remember all the wonderful holidays and treasured memories that you shared together in the past.
Donna, I'm so sorry to hear about Poohbear! How can anyone hit an animal and just leave it to suffer??? That person has no conscience! Glad your DH straightened him out!! The main thing is that your beloved Poohbear will be alright!! Poor baby!! My Ginger sends him lots of licks to make him feel better.
