Are you trying to make money or better a breed? If you have a good male with papers and really good breeding, I imagine he would fetch a nice price. It would be the same with puppies. Personally, I only bred mine when friends wanted several and I didn't have to find homes for many.

Unless you are breeding on a large scale, don't expect to make a lot of money. Unless you are selling highly pedigreed pups, there are too many people breeding substandard dogs and selling them to compete. Couple that with your vet expenses, shots, etc. you would be lucky to break even. Rent him out for stud! It's all profit.

Yeah, go with a stud Redrose.
To make any decent money with puppys if your lucky, you need to have dogs who have pedigrees with champions in them, the dogs have to be close to if not at the standards set by the akc and so forth. You would have to have alot of money to get dogs like that, they are expensive. If I remember right from your pics you have the chihuahuas that look more like deer than with the little round apple heads. The deer heads are more of a pet quality dog but still just as loveable to me.
I would love to breed chihuahuas especialy with my Tequilla, but he isnt at standard and he only had one testical drop wich is considered a defect so should not be bred. It can be passed down to the puppies and you dont want defective puppies as you should be tring to better the breed not bring it down. So as much as I love my Tequilla and think he would make some beautiful pups. Ive opted to keep the poor guy a virgin, LOL.
