Trade Tracker page and Google

I have two unrelated questions:

1) How do I work the "Sent" and "Not Received" parts of the Trade Tracker page? I printed it for myself and can do it on my page at home, but I can't do anything with it on my DG Trade Tracker page.

2) I asked a question here on DG about growing butternut trees from nuts and it ended up on Google, and other search engines. It even used my DG user name. Why?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean in your first question, so I'll tackle the second one for starters ;o)

The first post in a thread (in most forums) is available for anyone to read, and is probably picked up by the search engines. So if you started the thread, and it was in a forum other than the Parking Lot, Prayer, or DG forum (or maybe a few others - I can't recal offhand), that's why it got picked up and is visible to any and all.

However, if you didn't start the thread, try logging off DG, and do the same search - you will most likely not find that same link in your search results. (If you're logged in, your search results show you information that non-subscribers can't see.)

OK, Got that about the search engines.

Now, on the All Trades page of the Trade Tracker, where it shows my trades of what I am giving and what I am receiving, it shows "Not Sent" in red and "Not Received" in black to make it really easy to keep track of your trades. When I printed all my trades out on paper I could see it was easy to keep track of them, but when I went back to DG to put the information there, I couldn't figure out how to do it there. I clicked on the red "Not sent" and it didn't do anything, and the black "Not Received" doesn't help either. I went to the FAQ page and couldn't find an answer explaning how to use the All Trades page.

Sometimes I really know what I'm asking, but don't know enough about how something works to know exactly what to ask about it.

Okay, when you're on your trade tracker page, there's an "Edit" on the far right, next to each trade. Click on it, then scroll down and you'll see pulldown boxes for the trade sent and trade received questions - you can mark them any combination and "yes" and "no" (If you mark them both "yes", the system will not generate an email to the other person, as it does if you mark just one "yes" and leave the other "no".
