Dave please, timer on thursday chat.

Gamleby, Sweden(Zone 7a)

For us on the other side of the globe :0) the chat starts about 1 PM. Can you please set a countdown timer for us to,to remind us of the chatroom. Forgot it was thursday chat today and sadly I made an appointment not realising that. had it been a timer I had seen and got reminded of it and never made the app. today.

Janett,

Oh to be so lucky........I have missed so many Thursday morning chats since I have to go work. I paint houses and only on occasion do I get to "borrow" a customers computer to check on something, like an auction. But never to chat.

So alas, I get to chat on Tuesday nites only.

How were the chat times decided? It does seem a bit unfair to the west coasters and beyond.

Maybe a good voting booth question?

Tuesday chat is 1 AM for me, but I stay up most times, to much fun to miss :0).
I would gladly have another chatday. maybe one on saturday, when more people are free from work.

Post Meridian and After Meridian...???

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Post Meridian and Ante Meridian, actually. "Ante" means before.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Pre-midnight and after midnight. Or prior to midnight, lol.

Yeah, I know about the Meridian part, I was just trying to find a easy way for Janett to remember them.

Janett, how does Post Meridian and Ante Meridian translate into Swedish? How do you describe the time there, or are you on a 2400 clock system?

We have more of the military way with time. but we dont say sexteen hundred hours.
16:30. says in swedish sexton och trettio = sexteen and thirty. and that to you is 4:30 pm.
We dont have to look for the am or pm thats so easy to miss when you reading a timetable or flights
The meridian thing we dont have at all, meridianer is only used when your out to sea, reading maps.
If we travell in skandinavia we go by the GMT timezones.
