Magoo, hey I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in the OCD world. But mine can be quite severe when I am stressed. Mine is bad enough that I own a ladybug steamer to clean my walls. And are you telling me that some people leave their home before they make the beds, start a load of laundry and wash/dry/put away all the breakfast dishes??

Oh Carat do not get me started!!! I cannot leave a room to go to another unless it is in order!
I have a cleaning service (DH thought it would be nice) I spend 2 hours getting ready for them (and my house is fine) and follow around after and tisk tisk at what they forgot!
I mean If I am going to pay for it i want them to clean to perfection!
No one does---- except for me and you!!!
I have had a business I will do again getting people in homes organized and work with realtors to get houses ready to sell.
So happy to have some OCD company!

I cannot remember when my bed was made the last time, had to be when the sheets were changed. Used to be obsessive/compulsive about clean house but a special needs child (mildly retarded) and ADHD child and a trouble making child and a relatively normal 3 year old got me over that LOL

Oh, DH hired a company to come in once while I was in the hospital. Oh my, I had a fit. They used some oily streaky stuff on my mirrors. I called them at 4:30 pm and demanded they get someone over there to clean it that night. And they didn't even pick up the rugs on the floors to sweep or mop. Gross.

woofens be happy you are out of it!! It can (and I do not want sympathy) but it can be very controlling over your life the obsession for perfection.

I have a tool that goes under the fridge at least once a week. Chef for DH the fridge gets cleaned out (by me) every 3 days!

Oh I agree. I would love to sit down at a nice place and not inspect their flatware for spots. Or while visiting a friend get the shivers because she hasn't had the time with 5 kids to dust her TV. Oh and I pull out the frig, clean it, walls and floors daily.

Oh I have to stop now Carat--- walls baseboards I know you must be up on them but things like that drive me crazy I want them to be done but have to spend time with my son etc... (and have a life) but it nags at me and that is bad!!! so the cleaners are to do that---- and---- ugh drives me insane!

There was an episode a couple years back that shut up my MIL..... I get migraine type headaches (they aren't migraines, they are due to a genetic defect in my skull, long and boring, but basically my skull is too small for my brain LOL) and these headaches can keep me in bed for a day or a week, depending on how bad they are. This occasion my MIL stopped the first day after a week long bout, and DH had been working 10 days (he also drives 2 hours 1 way to work) she told him to Come home! you weren't raised in a pig sty, and so on....... he tried to tell her I had been ill, but she didn't care. Well, of course he told me what had been said, so I called her and told her to come visit anytime, but to come see my house keeping, make an appointment!!

She didn't visit us at home for 2 years ROFL
