My thread disappeared...

in plant trading, Spider Lilies, and it is creating havoc for trades.

What's up?

It was started on Oct 4th and I have over 22 people that wanted some..:(((

I just went back and looked thru all the threads you have started and I couldn't find it either. Did something get posted that was against the rules somehow? That is the only reason I can think of for a thread to get yanked.

It was closed and I reopened it because the bulbs were so large I wanted to give everyone the option of how many they wanted because I did not want them to freak at the postage.

Then zip, it was gone.

Unless that is a reason, which I doubt.

I'm having the same problem with some postings and pictures I added to "Ornamental Gourds/Devil's Claw anyone". Some of us had added pictures and posts to an existing thread and BAM...it was gone when I looked for it. Jo

Hmmm. I don't remember if I added a pic or not. Knowing me I probably did. I think I may have added this pic of the bulbs.

We got some complaints about many suggestive posts in the thread, and I hasted to remove it before anyone else saw it.

Please repost a new thread on the subject in that forum.

As a new member, I don't know what the rules are really - but I sent some threads about seeds trading I don't even see the threads and some questions I asked also about shade vegetable garden. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

rose_mallow. welcome to daves garden. your treads are just moved to the right forum. go to "my info" on the left side you see (treads that I startes) there you find where they ended up.

Dave, I saw NOTHING suggestive in the Devil's Claw thread. So, why'd it almost all disappear?

darius, as far as I know - and I'm pretty sure Dave will tell you the same thing - there was no admin editing of that thread. Whatever happened to it was some type of technical fluke.

I got an Dmail from Dave...he said it was a mystery to him too...leave it to me to mess things up...LOL

I think Kathleen hit the problem on the head - there were two posts created, one right after the other on Sept. 20. One was posted in Ornamental Gourds, the other one in Crafts & Decorating.

In ornamental gourds, the thread was posted at 10:16 p.m. titled "Devil's Claws, anyone need?" http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/546344

In crafts and decorating, the thread was posted at 10:18 p.m., titled "anyone need Devils Claws?" http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/546345/

That would explain the confusion. (If you're cross-posting, it is crucial to make your intentions very clear on the second post and link it back to your first one ;o)
