The column on the far left (no politics here) with the header 'New?' has these check boxes with the word 'No' beneath them. Does anyone know their purpose? They don't seem to do anything whether checked or not.
To make sure that I am not dumber than average I checked with some others known to be very smart and they can't tell either.
Check boxes in D-Mail Center
Ulrich, the checkboxes are used to file individual D-mails into folders, a relatively new feature. :)
ulrich, you click on folder and make a new one and then you can file all of the outlandish letters you get or don't get and you don't have to have them crowding your main page. debi
Like messages from me or Debi. lol
Thank you, ladies - gee, smart!
How'd you figure that out? The header has nothing to do with the function and the 'No' underneath makes it worse.
DAAAVE, HEEELP!
you think he got it donna? LOL
....Caution!....
Bumps ahead
What do you need, Ulrich?
If I understand correctly, then the header "New?" might be changed to "Move?", and "No" should be "Yes".
Whatever there is now makes no sense at all if it pertains to the moving of mails to other folders.
Edited to say that I just discovered it DOES serve the purpose of showing that there is a new message.
Then how about adding another column to the left to facilitate the moving thingie?

Another column would take valuable real estate...
Well, your point is very good and I'll try to think of something.
dave
Thanks, either way.
Well, I did something. :)
Fantastic! But 'Move' would correspond better to the 'Move these mails' button near the bottom, whereas 'Mark' gives no indication as to the object of the boxes.
Edited to make the logic more inescapable.

Edited the above to forestall the avalanche of responses by all those many concerned members bound to cause complete bogging down of the system.
Ulrich,
I understand completely what you are saying. I'm new here, but I would have eventually asked your same question.
Carol
Thank you, Carol.
We must be the only two who are not psychic.
I knew you were going to say that!
Of course, you are one of THEM !
How's Nostradamus these days?
max,don't you mean psychotic?
I'll be getting there if I hang around here much longer. NLOL.
I know this is late but instead of starting a new thread here is my question. Is there a way I can delete a Dmail. I sent a Dmail to a member she never replied, I feel foolish everytime I see it. I need to get rid of it but can't. Can we have a trash bin or delete in DMail. Thanks
You can't delete yet, But I created a folder for Junk Mail and put such stuff in there.
Thanks, but how do you such a thing?
1. Click on Mail
2. click on folders
3. Type in name for your new folder. I call mine junk, but trash, or file 13 would also be appropriate.
4. Click on inbox
5, Click on mail folder you wish to open.
6. Scroll to bottom of mail and click on Move this Dmail
7. Select folder and click on Go
