I have a lot of pinning up of vines and pruning to do on my big hoyas out side and I just hate to throw away good cuttings. So, I will put them in 5 boxes and mail them out for postage to the first 5 people who want them. Send me a Dmail with your address. I will put a list in the box of what cuttings are enclosed....but you can have fun narrowing down your NOIDS and waiting for blooms. No idea what I will cut now...it will be a surprise for everyone!! :>)
Carol
No one overseas, please...pretty please.
Pinning and Pruning
:0 You have mail !!!
You have more mail. This sounds like fun!!
Have to practice my rooting. If all goes well, Diane will have more plants.
Me please? And I will root and share...

Carol,
I'd love some for postage.
Thanks,
Shirley
One...two...three ...four..... Too late! =0)
BetsyJ,
Reread...you are the 5th. poster because TamiF posted twice. :)
I hate to break it to someone, but I didn't post a reply to this thread. I went to Carol's d mail immediately. That was about 2:30, so sorry #5. Betsy, if I am one of the five, I will send you some cuttings for postage. Sound fair?
Heather

NO FAIR! Got me all excited for nuthin....=o(
Ah well......the early bird DOES get the.....HOYA (in this case!).
You guys who are all getting cuttings.....will you share with us next year? =0)
Aaawww, gee Heather....THANK YOU! That's so nice of you. =)
Gosh......Hoya people are JUST THE BEST...!
Hey Carol, please take me off the list and send them to a newbie. I was just talking to Betsy via DG mail, and told her how I culled the collection because I had too many. What was I thinking?
Heather I did the same as you, I sent her an email at 12:15 Arizona time.
Blessings,
Awanda
Hey - if anyone else is giving up their spot, I'll take some cuttings!!! Karen
OK...The 5+ are in. Actually there are 8. Who can say NO? So, I just have one request and this is that those of you who get the cuttings share with others....OK? Especially youse guys with big collections...if you get duplicates of hoyas you already have, can you root them anyway and make them available to others starting out especially our gang in Canada! With Hawaiian Ag. it is a real pain in the ##*# to ship out of here...but easier for you all. Thanks.
NO MORE PLEASE "Im just a girl who can't say no".
Those getting cuttings are:
Heather
SuzMeyers
Tami
Karen
Cicada
Betsy
Sandy c
Kabob
Postage/shipping will be $10. Make sure I have all your addresses.
Aloha
Nightbloomer...you need not worry!!
I'm GETTING CUTTINGS?!?!? Whoooo HOOO! thank you Carol!
Nightbloomer....bless your little pea pickin' heart for offering up your "spot"....but I guess I won't need it after all. You and Heather. Thanks girls.
P.S. Carol....can I PayPal you or would you perfer check, money order, what's your preference?
Nightbloomer just fell right in to the hoya frenzy as it were. I'm actually having fun being able to talk to each plant nightly without having to schedule alternating quality time. There was an old woman who lived in a shoe, she had so many hoya she didn't know what to do....
Susan
Betsy, girl you have it bad....oh the excitement of the first year of collecting. I remember DH and I standing with our arms around each other gazing at the first buds on H. shepherdii like expectant parents.
Blooming at my house, the faithful and lovely H.moteski and H.finlaysonii for about the 5th time this year. That's it...nothing else.
Susan,
How funny... You can never have to many though.. I fell for it to, but I'm not to 100 yet. Then for sure I'm stopping.. Ha Ha ROTFLMBO....
Doesn't matter how it comes...check or MO is fine.
As I said...you guys got to find out the IDs, but I will give you help with what are in the box. You will want to match leaves, which is really hard...so all you newbies get to stand the blossom watch, waiting to ID your NOIDS. If I can figure out how to put them in the box in any order I will or write on the back of a leaf...but handwriting all the labels would take too much time...when I could be duffing off doing something else!!!
Enjoy.
Carol
Susan....
Oh heck YEAH, I'm all caught up in the excitement of my first year of collecting!! I coddle these hoyas like newborn infants!!! I got 6 new cuttings from Jerodsmom week before last and let me tell you what....that MORE THAN DOUBLED my 'collection'. I stand at 14 different hoyas now! Ah, girl....I am doin' the happy hoya dance!!
I just think it's WONDERFUL, though, that those of you who have been collecting for a while are so willing to let us newbies get in on the action. Ya'll are even willing to give up free cuttin's. Man, now THAT'S sistah-hood. THANK YOU FOR FEEDING MY HABIT! ;o)
B
Carol , Add a few address in with mine for the great Northern Gang....Would like to get some mailed off to them...........Sandy
Identifiying them by leaf and bloom will be part of the fun, albeit a challenge.
Thanks so much, Carol.
Shirley
Hmmm......now wait a minute...don't drug dealers offer "new kids on the block" free drugs at first too?? She knows that soon you will all be hooked beyond control. Ha Ha. She really is a bonified "HP" Ha Ha.....jk Carol. ;-D
Actually, that is a very nice a generous thing to do. What a great hoya family we have here.
Marcy
Thanks, Marcy. I hate to diss cuttings...that's why we had to get 6 more acres!!! Your box going out at the same time...ooops, a cutting displaced...ooooops....
OK...Canadians....you know who to write to...Sandyc will coordinate cutting to Canada...
the CC project. LOL.

:) Donna
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! My check will go in the mail today, and I will be more than willing to share any Hoyas that I have already. Thank you SO much for your generosity and for taking the time to send these out to us!
Sue :))))))
Okay, I've been away from my computer all day but...am I understanding that we need some help in mailing cuttings to our friends up in the Great White Tundra (aka Canada)? Cuz I'm more than happy to help spread the hoya-craze to Canada....Just not sure what I'm suppose to do.
OK this is so cool...My little SIS Tamif is also going to forward some on to the great north----So when we have all there names, We can all have a cutting buddy or 2 to ship to up North...Sound Good ???? Sandyc
Sounds good to me. We're shipping cuttings right. Is it too cold yet?
I'll share some of my cuttings, too! Just let me know when and where to ship them! I love this forum!
Karen
On behalf of my fellow Hoya challenged Canadians (and myself;) THANK YOU ALL!!! We are a *little* quiet right now since we have serious kitchen duty this weekend. Our Thanksgiving Feast is supposed to be on Monday but many of us will be having it tomorrow.
I saw that someone (somewhere) was wondering about our weather
This is my forecasted daytime highs for the next week (my location and Manitoba are usually the first in the Great White/Frozen North to get cold).
HIGH 14°C.......12°.....14°C.......12°.......17°.......17°.......8°C The 14 day trend shows daytime temps to be in at least the 50's (F). We've already had our *hard* frost (in Manitoba's case snow) so we are now heading into *our* definition of Indian Summer. Ü
Anything but *Plants* should be put on the Border Patrol's Declaration form. Gloves, table napkins, hair accessories, etc. instead would be very appreciated. ;)

Oh Wow, I learned something new today. Happy Thanksgiving. Now I have a craving for pecan pie. Sounds like just enough time to get them sent. Maybe SandyC should send them all out, it would be quicker than comming from AZ. I will have to let her know this. Customs and AZ. really don't get along to well either. Glad you all get to get in on the little treasures.
Tami
We are very, very, very appreciative!!! :) There are so few here that have sharing sized Hoyas and I doubt that theirs can afford to have too many haircuts. ;)
Now I *have* to go make a pecan pie! Ü
To add to Pam's (Lilypon's) post, the temps here in this part of the Great White North are the same as hers but we call this the Great Rainy North where I am ...lol....also, I got a good tip from a great trader on the orchid cactus forum, she was sending me my, ahem "birthday gift"....lol..it was a lovely neck scarf that came in the form of a rooted orchid cactus!...great idea and it came across the border with no hassle...i agree with Pam, you are nice, helpful and generous people on this forum :)
Sandy
