Vote for your choice of these six names. Thanks to all of you who offered names for this Brug.

SUBLTE CHARM

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Hard choice, but I think I like Subtle Charm best.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I know it's a hard decision. LOL

Ariel - short, sweet and an A for Ada!!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I think that I like Ariel the best, too!

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Ada-
You wrote 'Carolina Rose', but your picture shows 'Carolina Charm'...

I like subtle charm, as a name, but I feel there isn't much subtle about this brug!

I vote:

'Rhapsody'

You have excellent taste, Ronna, lol!!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I like Ariel.

Carol

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Ada...I think I am missing something here, lol...too late for what name?

Isn't Rhapsody one of the six you listed...?

As for the two Carolinas, I was just pointing out that you listed Carolina Rose in your first post, but the name you drew out of the hat (in your picture) had Carolina Charm printed on it...

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Seedpicker you said i wrote Carolina Rose but the picture showed Carolina Charm.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

You did, compare the list you posted at the top to the picture of the names on the brim of your hat. In the hat pic the slip says "Carolina Charm" but you put "Carolina Rose" on your list.

Does this help?

Mornin_gayle and Seedpicker. you caught my screw up when I typed the names. It was Carolina Rose by Meag848 on Oct. 5 at 12:07 but I do like the Carolina Charm too, even if it wasn't listed. LOL

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

I don't have a problem with that at all, let that be your entry!

Personally, I was holding out voting untill this was cleared up because I like "Carolina Charm" the best, so that is my vote!

mg

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

I like it, too, lol...
-T

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Carolina Rose

Kernersville, NC(Zone 7a)

Ooh, can I vote for Carolina Charm also? I think it was a Freudian slip and you named her yourself!

If not, Carolina Rose, gotta vote for the home team!

Rachel

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Rapsody.
Because when you look at her she makes you think of flowing skirts, dancing to music, soft, and airy.

had to add the h

haha I took the h out, the name -e did not have an h

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

oops, Rhapsody has an H, I thought it looked odd.

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

lol! So is the choice Carolina Charm, or Carolina Rose?

I like Carolina Charm....it at least says a little bit about you!

PS...if you name it Rhapsody....don't forget the 'h' in there.

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Rhapsody...however you spell it. LOL

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

editing to change my vote:

OK so much confusion,
1st choice:
Carolina Rose

2nd choice:
Rapsody

IF we can't use either of those to vote on, perhaps we can rethink this whole thing?

Edited to change my vote to Carolina Rose

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I spelled Rapsody the way the person who chose it spelled it.
As far as Carolina Charm, it wouldn't be fair to the person who chose Carolina Rose for me to change it. She'd have to do that..

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

I vote Rhapsody

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I like Rhapsody as well. I must have missed something somewhere, because I'm not sure where the name Carolina fits in.

Stockton, CA(Zone 9a)

Ada lives in North Carolina

Premont, TX(Zone 9b)

Rhapsody

Crumpler, WV

I like Carolina Rose.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

I like Ariel (((*-*)))

Edited to change my choice

Oh, Shoot ! ! !

There already is a plant called Carolina Rose

http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/81599/

http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/galleries/rosacaro.html

As the guidelines state this would not be acceptable.

A new plant name should not be like something else already known by such a name .

This is the reason that David had to re-name his Orange King from his original choice of King of Orange.

;-((

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

OH NO,Thanks S!
OK ADA what now?????

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Where is Meag848 ???
Thanks Scoot. You're on the ball.
Sylvia, I can't believe you with all the boxes I sent you from North Carolina. LOL

Kernersville, NC(Zone 7a)

there is an iris, rose, hosta and clematis named Rhapsody

what are the guidelines? there is a rose named ariel also but it isn't listed at Dave's

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I guess the guide lines would refer to this also. SO now what??? Where's Scoot? LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I spelled it Rapsody because it is easy to spell that way and I like things a little different from the norm. Many sites have Rapsody in the name.

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

Rapsody is a great name.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

If we have an Iris, a Rose, Hosta and Clematis by this name is it legal? Wouldn't it be just like the Carolina Rose? Even if it's spelled differently but pronounced the name. I'm so confused and time is running out. Suggestions, please!
