Cool, Evert. And I bet u don't even have to buy any duct tape! lol

By the way, I asked last night, Tyler said he bought 10 rolls of duct tape! And just in case u were wondering, it's Tyler's car, not my son's. I don't think DH would have let him do that unless it was a real junker. Ty's car is/was? a pretty nice car!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I think "was" is the right answer on that one it was once a nice car....

we tapped a little back in the day but only to the really clunkers got to get the tape off fast or everything sticks to it...

Well, the paint job is now a moot point. Tyler rolled the car early this morning. He's sore but ok. Fell asleep less than a half mile from home. The kids all went to the football game, school is 6 miles N of town, then drove to a friend's in the next town, another 3 miles N. They all headed home about 12:30, DS had our van and drove 2 other kids home, just as he left the 2nd one's house, he heard the rescue go out. He knew Tyler was not far behind him, so he followed the rescue truck, pretty sure it would be Ty. He was right!. When he got there, Ty was out and walking around. Very thankful for that!! Poor car, and the football season isn't even over... :(

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Just thankful he made it out alright.

Vieques, PR(Zone 11)

LOL

I love kids with their own spirit!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Yeah, me too. DS started telling me and was smiling so I knew Ty was ok right away. He got pretty sober tho when he was talking about following the rescue truck and just 'knowing' it was Ty. Pretty thought provoking for 16 years olds who think they're invincible! The scary thing was he hit a field driveway and went airborne for quite a ways. 28 years ago a 2nd cousin of DH did that and when he came down, broke his neck, dead. Those field driveways are just take-off ramps!!!!! Scary!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Someone was looking out for him, shows good raising on your sons part to head back just incase.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

i love skool spirit!
