Hurrican Rita, just in case....

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Well, finally, we are complete. My DD has been worried sick since our outdoor cat, Smokey, hadn't shown up. 15 minuets ago I was outside watching the clouds and I hear a little "meow" outside the gate and, boy, did she run into the backyard. Colleen took her inside and held her so that her head would peek around the bedroom door at Caroline (DD). After a squeell, Smokey and Caroline are back together. YEA

Ghost Town is right, Maggiemoo. It's down right eerie outside here. (but sure is nice and quiet)

There is a gas station about a mile from me that has had a delivery and is open until the weather gets too bad. So if anyone is in the Spring Branch area and needs gas, head for the corner of Clay and Blalock. :-)

The wind is finally picking up. Did anyone see the beatiful double rainbow to the east 30 minutes ago? SO FINE !!!!!!!!!

As the captain says, " Batten down the hatches ya scurvey dogs. We're in for a good one".

Helloooooo, anybody home ??????????

Been outside enjoying the wind and clouds.

Yes Ladys, I not only enjoy a good fire but I REALLY enjoy watching a storm come in. Love the goosebumps.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

It's beginning to look like there won't even be a storm here, just a little rain Adam is disappointed after all the work he did. His boss just called to say that they will be open tomorrow night, Adam is to report to work (a club in the Montrose area.)

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Hey maggie, what club does he work at. I'm suppose to be at Rich's for the final MCAF AIDS fundraiser Saturday night. Have been supporting them for 20 years.

Sandy,
At least you are saf!!
There is a yard long thread about you being missing in the weather forum - when you wake up tell them youre OK!!

Meadows Place, TX(Zone 9a)

Good Morning all, Here, just north of Sugar Land, we have had1/4 inch of rain over night and gusts up to @ 30 mph. Personally, I am still hoping for some more rain for my house's foundation.

Hope you're doing OK up there in Conroe, maggiemmo.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Sandy, take care, I was glad to see on the Rita thread in the Weather forum that you had made it to safer ground. Praying for the best re your house.

Good morning Kip, yes, we're doing fine up here. Haven't lost power all night, though we seem to be browning out a little, I'm going to turn this off in a moment. A power co truck went down my street a little bit ago, so other folks may be having power outages. We haven't had near the rain or wind they were predicting for us yesterday evening, like you I'm hoping we'll get more rain. I need those flower beds to get a really good soak, want a chance to get some deep moisture back for the trees.

gotta turn this off! see you guys later!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Praise the Lord, you guys are all safe, I was so worried about you.
We haven't heard from Trois yet, we hope they are fine.
Hoping to get at least a little rain here in Arlington, we need it badly.
Love, Josephine.

Hi all, We are in austin. very safe and with family and DDILs wonderful friend. She is sooooooo special. Like I have known her for years. I feel like I am home.

I need some sleep. Only 2 hrs in 72. I am exhausted. Gonna take a nap before all returns from mall.

Police said no power and trees down. My neighbor left but called our police station.

Blessings,
