Got my ol mug shot .. back home!!

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

We finally managed to depart from New Mexico .. and arrived back home to Arkansas!
Geez, have we missed 'home'!!!

I'll try to enlighten some of you .. on our happenin's, our doin's, and our projects that were undertaken .. out in New Mexico, as time allows. Right now .. stayin' a bit busy, jes gettin' the Coots Roost to lookin' like something besides a wild, abandoned, overgrown patch of bug and booger infested jungle!! .. lol ..

Progress is takin' place ... with much sincere appreciation .. to my sweet 'ol coot' of a hubby!

I took a walk along the 'wild side' .. upon our initial arrival home, and strolled [on foot] .. down our driveway .. while the ol coot took the RV on down.

Sortee took my time .. wadin' thru the grass that had grown up on the driveway, and tried my best to look off along the sides of our driveway .. hopin' to spot some unwarry critters to shoot (with my cam'ra, of course!) ...

Surprised a few vermin .. and maself, to boot! (I'll tell ya more 'bout'at, later on!) .. But, I was shocked even more, when I rounded the last big bend of our driveway .. and laid my spyballs upon the 'yard' at the house! .. It was duublee-yuuckees, to say the very least! .. hee ..

Tried to tell maseff .. that this was someone's else house and yard - that, we must've come down the wrong driveway - somehow! .. LOL ..

I'd reckon'at .. 'em folks oughta try'ta do some lil sumpin' 'bout'ta mess they got goin' on 'ere! They'z surely flirtin' with the invite of some mitey naystee ticks and big boogers galore .. a keepin' wit a yard like'at!! .. That thar's shore nuff a mitey pitiful shame, I tell ya! .. LOL ..

The ol Coot .. diggin' in and gettin' the job(s) done!

My hands've been givin' me fits, and here he is .. my proverbial Rock of Gibralter: bailin' me out, once again!

Simply blows me away, jes how truly blessed I am ... Thank you so very much honey!!

I managed to get the 'slightly-overgrown, super heavy, and saggin' over on top of everything else' Mum BUSHES cut back .. then had to give the ol digits and wrists another break.

Geeez, seems that my ol body is jes fallin' completely apart on me .. all, in one year, to boot! .. hee ..

Magpye! Welcome back! I haven't been around DG much this summer either what with one thing or another (mostly munchkins home and needing entertainment.....and now home from school every day and needing help with homework LOL). But I enjoyed my summer more than I could say and I'm so proud of my kids' progress in school....so no complaints here. I KNOW your summer was full of excitement and wonder. I can't wait to read all about it. Wild or weed infested or not....I think your garden looks great :-). And my GOODNESS Puldeau sure did get that stuff tidied up fast! Way to go! :-) I love your rounded rock slab "island" in that last pic. And all those rock walls that must've taken a whole lot of back breaking work to build! They sure are lovely! :-) Keep those fingers rested as much as possible and don't over do anything. Remember....a wild "natural" looking garden has it's charms too :-)

Are you sure #8,9 & 10 are from your yard ? Or did you slip next door, LOL!
It's amazing how a few weeds can make something look so bad. It seems to only take a couple days for them to take over.
Glad to see you back in the fold.

Ok Magpye, fess up! You had a visit from garden gnomes and faries to help with the clean up, didn't you? The transformation is amazing! Do you hire out dh? Barter him? I love your stone walls, they just are so pretty.

I'm looking forward to more hummer pics before they migrate. I bet the hummers were glad to see you return. Did you get buzzed as a welcome back?
