Just an update on Brugzilla to all of you that sent me emails or replied on here. She is dead. So how did I finally kill the monster? I received a suggestion from someone (thanks to you very much, but I forgot your name) to drill holes in the trunk and right around the plant into the ground and pour sudsy ammonia on it and then a couple of cups of bleach and run. I repeated the process one week later. I did and it worked. Last week I even dug down a little bit and the roots were brittle.
I can't believe that I spent so much money on weed killers and even resorted to other unkind methods until someone sent that suggestion. I don't know if anything will ever grow in that area again, but I still have this haunting nightmare that come Spring, I will walk out back and Brugzilla will be 20 feet tall and her blooms will now have teeth like a shark. Anyway, for now, she has been killed and is probably having an affair with Satan.
Please! Someone tell me how to kill one.
