I am so sick right now since saturday nite. All I did is I was cutting grass on saturday afternoon.. wore my mask with filter cover my mouth and nose while riding lawn mower..

Then Sat night, I started sneezing then it got worse on Sunday (yesterday).. Non stop sneezing, coughing.. My head is killing. I feel so miserable and wanted to crying. I took Allerga-D, etc. None worked. I couldn't sleep well during two nights.. this early am. my nose started bleeding a little.

This is the worst one. I have been cutting grass lots of times.. but it was not that bad.. but now WORST. I really don't want to go thru that again if I go cut grass. DH will have to do the work.. also my children to help out.

I never had skin test or whatever it called if I am allergy to grass etc..
Hope I feels better soon.. I hate what I am going thru this right now.

Gotta to go and lay down and rest but I have to stay up with my boy Matt.. Whew..

Tonight, I feel much better.. drank lots of water which I was so thristy and still coughing( throat itching)... I hope I feel better tomorrow.

DH brought two package of vapor filter for my mask for me to try to see if it work when it's time for grass to cut. I think I will give a try and also take allergy medicine before I go..

Yikes, I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad time with that. I hope either that the filter works or that your family steps up and relieves you of the duty!!

I just had my doctor appointment and am now forbidden to clean our chicken coop. Darn! (she says sarcastically...) And I have to wear a mask whenEVER I go in their house. I'm glad my husband is stepping up and helping, but maybe I'll hire my cousin's daughter when it comes time to clean the coop again. For me it's asthma rather than allergies, but my doctor wants to get my allergy tested, too (they worsen the asthma). Not fun stuff to deal with!

I tried wearing a painter's mask when housecleaning, but all I managed to do was make my glasses fog up so much I couldn't see! So much for my Michael Jackson impersonation. It didn't help with my allergies, anyway.

I am going to try something I have heard helps allergies and that is
local honey. I don't like honey, but if it works that would be great.
It is suppose to be good for you anyway.

The reason for the local honey is because the bees are getting the pollens and things in the air right where you live. We have a honey farm right down the road and I am actually going tomorrow.
We also have alot of chemical plants in the area and I know that doesn't help matters.

I am sorry your allergies are so bad. I prsy your family steps up and takes over also. Try putting a little vicks on your nose as it helps catch anything you are breathing in.

I would not recommend starting local honey in full blown allergy season or even without talkinh to your doctor. But it does make sense as I took shots for years and they contain alittle of everything you are allergic too. So would the honey. I think it is 1 teaspoon a day, but with severe allergies I would start off with very little and work myself up. like maybe a drop in some tea. But after the worst of the season is over.

Again I would atleast talk to the dr. first as your allergies are like mine once were.

Blessings,
Sandy ^8^

You poor dear. I use to have problems like that but not as bad as this attack. I seem to have out grown them tho. I do think that someone else should be doing the mowing and you should be in the house with windows closed and air filters going or gone somewhere for a few hours while the mowing is being done. I know all this isn't easy with young children. Like telling a pregnant woman with a 1 year old to be bedfast when there is no one else to take care of the one year old.

I feel much better today.. but still coughing(itching throat)..

Well, my family(Mom, sisters and brothers) and I have same problem with sinus allergy. NO asthma in family but my niece had it. It's terrible.

Where I live right now.. No rain lately.. Very dust around here. Lots of pine trees and weeds. Need rain bad. My chicken pen is open air. only containers that they can lay eggs in it. We alwasy keep the windows close until it's winter.

Weird, I feel great and no problem with sinus allergy when the cold weather cold air come. I open window and let cold air breeze thru. It feels good. Only problem is in the spring time, summer time and fall time... smoking.. even I am allergy to most of perfumes or colonge, smokes, cats, pet birds. They give me sharp headache, sneezing and bad sinus. That's why I had to keep our cats outside. I used to have bird but give away due allergy as doctor told me not to keep cat or birds in the house. Dogs are fine.. great mine don't shed. :o)

DH said some of his workers have bad sinus allergy now.

Now, it's fall season.... pollen!!!!!

Man, you sound just like me, but for you they induce allergies and for me it's asthma! Smoke, dust, perfumes, birds, etc. It sure is no fun, but I'm hoping that once I have my routine down-- once I know what to do and what to avoid (and remember to take all my medicine), I'll be feeling better. I hope you find what works for you, too. It's a tough thing to deal with. I'm glad you're feeling better for now, though! And winter's coming (which is my bad time of year, though).
