Beginner's Guide to Native Plant Gardening: Reviewers Wanted

Richland, WA

I've written a draft of a book titled: "The Comfortable Lazy Garden - A Beginner's Guide to Native Plant Gardening", and I'm looking for gardeners who would be willing to read it and send me comments, criticisms, and suggestions. Please contact me if you would be interested in taking a look at the draft.

Thanks,

Ed Rykiel

PS I am certified as a Senior Ecologist by the Ecological Society of America.

The two gardeners in this household would be happy to read and provide comments on your draft. :)

Are you looking for any particular type of gardener or experience level? While I'm in the process of sending you an email via the provided link, your responses here could encourage others to join in, as well.

I am a VERY beginning gardener, but I'm also VERY interested in your book. I'd at least like to know when it comes out. :)

Thanks to all at Dave's Garden for responding to my note so quickly!

If you can provide a review to me in about 2-4 weeks that would be great. Let me know and I will send you the draft as a Word document via email. I don't think I can attach the document to D-mail, so please contact at my email address.

My approach to gardening with native plants is not conventional, so I need feedback. I am especially interested in learning the questions gardeners would ask about native plants and about the approach I have taken in this book.

Sincerely,
Ed Rykiel

I would love to buy the book. I found out this year I don't even know half what I even have. I have just began looking around the yard, got married in April and when I moved in found lots of plants and have no idea what he/ and his grandmother had already planted. LOL

I would love to read it ! I use mostly natives in my garden and have had in the past at another house too. I also worked at a Botanical garden that used many natives. I have also had a native prarie, that I maintained as close to nature as possible. Please let us know when it comes out. If you are still taking readers I would love to review your book

Thanks to all who volunteered to review my book draft, I now have enough reviewers to give a good picture of the quality of the book. If you want to know how the reviews turn out, drop me an email and I'll let you know as soon as I can.

In the mean time, I suggest that a Native Plant Gardening Forum get started at Dave's Garden if there is sufficient interest.
