Biggest Loser House Party!

Season 2 of NBC's "The Biggest Loser" kicks off on Tuesday, September 13. http://www.nbc.com/The_Biggest_Loser/ Any fans here at DG?

Howie and I are really psyched, for two reasons. One, we like the show and root for ALL of them to be losers.

Second, we were one of the households chosen to host a Biggest Loser House Party! We've already received a DVD containing the premiere and extra footage, some promotional fitness-related goodies, and we're having a party at our house Saturday night to watch it with friends. All across the country on September 10th, people are having BL2 parties and seeing a sneak preview of the premiere. Pretty fun!

NBC and Houseparty.com have set up a nation-wide online BL2 House Party, too. http://houseparty.com/bl2/ We are virtual hosts there for our party, too. We'll all be uploading pictures and updating our party blogs September 10th, the big party's day.

Our DG friends can come too! Well, sort of. ;)

If you'd like to participate and be on the virtual guest list, shoot me a DG-Mail with your e-mail address so I can send an invitation your way. Even if you can't be there from 5pm to ?? on Saturday, the fun will still be going on at the website afterward. You can upload your own before and after photos, too.

Sounds like great fun. I watched a few of those type shows last season. I don't get home until after 9 Saturday night to I don't get to see them much. You and Howie are perfect selections to be host/hostess. You go, kids.

The normal air day is Tuesday nights, so maybe you'll be able to catch it. Just the party's Saturday evening for us.

I loved last season and am anxiously awaiting this coming season.

I didn't know anything about the parties. We have a wedding that day anyway. Have fun!

Well, like I said, you don't have to be able to participate on the day of the party -- the blog, photos, etc. will be up on the site afterward. We look at it as long-range fun.

Woo! We just got a call from someone at Houseparty.com on behalf of NBC. They wanted to know if we'd be the representative hosts from the Columbus area! They loved Howie's website and our stories, and want to have an interview with us by the local NBC affiliate and newspaper. :faint: It'll either be on the phone or here during the party on Saturday evening.

PRESSURE!

I've gotta get my butt in gear and really clean tonight and tomorrow, then clean up the yard and patio on Friday! Ack!

I'm so ever-lovin' proud of Howie, though, and am really excited that he'll be able to encourage people with his story!

Just got up! ;) I've got the majority of the de-cluttering done in the "public" rooms and it shouldn't be too bad going through to dust and vacuum now. Still gotta do the outside stuff tomorrow, along with getting food prepped so I'm not spinning like a top in the kitchen come Saturday afternoon!

Well, we had a good turnout and enjoyed watching the premiere together. We're pretty low-key people, so it wasn't exactly a big exciting frackas, but we had a good time. A few guests are still here, now watching the Buckeyes on TV. Here's what we had up as decoration on our front window, Howie's old size 66 jeans (he wears 42's now, and is still on his way down).

Wow! bet some were impressed with the loss he's made.
