Website slowdown today

Our ISP reports that they are under a DOS attack (which is when the bad guys try to take out another website that is also hosted in the same data center as us).

Therefore, the site will be slow and sometimes unresponsiveness for the rest of the day. Hopefully it'll be fixed before midnight.

Thanks Dave-I just noticed that! Nobody better fuss with our site!lol I'm glad it won't take too long to fix.

Is it happening again? DG seems to have slowed down. It could just be on our end since school's out for the afternoon and there are probably a lot of folks online on our cable's local node.

DAVE - I'm going to be hard-nosed here. I have had a lot of trouble trying to gather pertinate information about the where abouts and needs of the people hit by Katrina. I am limited for "online" time and I cannot continue to search through MANY threads to find who needs what where. Is there anyway we could DEDICATE ONE THREAD to just that info - no hugs, backrubs, peach cobbler, etc, ( I love them all!) but with short time spans, I need one place to look to gather the info to see if there is anythig I can do to help a "family" member. I just happened to stumble across a post today that had info I could possiblly help with, but it was a fluke! Help please?!

There is a lot of valuable info of this sight, it's just hard to find sometime.

I am still having trouble uploading to the PF tonight, nothing has got through.

Mine is very slow too. I'm also getting "Document Contains No Data" when I click on any of the forums here. I usually have to try 2 or 3 times before I don't see the above message and it slooooooooooowly opens a forum or thread for me.

edited to say shortly after I typed the above it started working fine. Thanks Dave for whatever changes were made! :)
