After 3 interviews with a particular company, I was told today, 8/26, I have the job!!!!
I will be in the payroll dept doing various clerical work and cross training with the
woman who does the actual payroll. It's been a long walk and wait situation but well
worth it.
Thank you all for your tips and support.
Patti
ATTENTION! I have a job!!!!
#### CLAP#### ***********WHISTLE*********** +++++SHOUT++++++
YAY!!!! Congratulations on landing that one. It sounds like a place that is selective in their hiring and that is usually a good sign that they appreciate their people and want the best. Now the fun starts as you enter a new phase in your life with this new opportunity.
Great news!!! Congratulations!!
Deb
Way to go. Great news, so when do you start? I have been thinking of you and wondering what was going on.
Congrats on the new job.
YEA, PATTI!!!
Thank you, thank you...(bowing from the waist)
I should know Monday afternoon what time to start TUESDAY! They are waiting on the drug test and physical results which were done today, 8/26. The office manager expects to have them Monday, and knowing I'm "clean as a whistle" there should be no problems.
The other thing they wait on is finishing the area of the office, new cubicals and painting, where the payroll dept., 5 women, will call home. I certainly hope this will be my employment home for years to come. Even tho' someone else had been hired the last time I interviewed, the office manager stayed in touch with me, and expressed how well liked I was, it was just a matter of time.
I'm quite excited as is DH. I will once again be his "help-mate" and have a little left over...LOL*** Thanks again, and defoecat from what you have said in the past, I think the office manager is your clone!!!
Congratulations, Patti! I am very happy for you.
Hugs,
Ursula
Congratulations Patti!!
Thank you everyone, nice to hear from y'all. Even from way down in Chile how nice!!!!
Planting_Patti, surely you jest. I know that there is one other just like me, I have an identical twin sister, but someone in CO God surely has a sense of humor.
Do you know what your duties will be? 5 other women in the same office, sounds like a cozy little clique. I hope everything works out for you. When you start, post and let us know how you are doing. I will be interested in your impressions.
Defoecat: Yeppers just like you, gracious and kept me in mind for over 4 months now, and finally saw a way to get me INTO the company. Yes, God does have a sense of humor, I'm Irish married to a Scots. Father God delights in the union as to how the Irish in this family can rule without whiskey!!!! lol**
I'd rather not think of the department as a clique, yes they may be a tight group but perpetuating a common goal, getting the work done in a timely manner. This was well impressed upon me, if you are "caught up" and want to take an extra break, that's fine, as is chatting.
Not real clear on actual duties at this time, just clerical, data entry and cross training. I don't know if you could clearly count on my "impressions." First and foremost I'm there to do a job, if I make friends in the process that would be an extra reward. I'm a very focused person and know I have much to learn at the onset. All the "fringes" will come in time. I'll keep you posted.
Patti
Well everyone, I received the phone call to say I start tomorrow, 8/30 at 8:30 a.m. getting off at 4:30....yaaaaaaaaah!!!!!! Actually what she said was, "Are you ready to go to work tomorrow?"....you bet!!!
I doubt I'll post here on this subject further, all has been said and done. I'm most grateful for your support and encouragement, I can't say that enough.
Those of you who would like to receive emails please let me know. Would love to stay in touch with those of you interested.
Patti
thats great news.. may you succeed up the ladder to.. blessings..
Twyla
That's wonderful news - I'm happy to hear everything has worked out for you!
Wish I knew you needed one, you can have mine. LOL
Hope, Terry & Davart....thanks. First day today and I look forward to returning tomorrow...LOL** Everyone told me when I have my own cubicle I'll feel more at home and get a little quicker at what I'm doing for now. There is much to learn, I'm looking forward to the challange, they know I'm a little rusty and that's ok.
What's funny is the two people they hired before me are gone. One got fired and the other just up and quit due to personal problems at home. So goes the wheel of life, at least I'm in now and very blessed!
Patti
See, we knew JESUS would come thru for you. It just had to be HIS timing, not yours. GOD bless you.
leaflady, That is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!! He taught me alot about patience and waiting on Him.
Where is Hughesville, MO? I'm from Missouri born in St. Louis, moved to Columbia, then to Lee's Summit (KC, MO area)
Things are going well thus far on the new job, all Praise and Glory to Father God. He knows my skills and the company's needs and worked it all out for a good fit.
Congratulations on your n job, I'm very happy to hear you finally found one.
