Look what I found!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Another hornworm! lol!

He is a different color than Wormie was. This one has alot of pale green on him. He is so pretty. I'd love to have a pair of boots made out of his skin. They would be kinda loud but for sure pretty! lol!:)

Wooooo hooooooo you knew I'd be here cheerin' him and you on!!!! MORE MORE I SAY, MORE!!!! *CHANTING* lol!

Isn't that so gosh darn cute??!!!! I like his coloring, and I think I can see a greener green too, maybe the more he eats...the more color he will get, eh?

LOL @ the boots idea! Hmmm, looking at it again...it would make for some crute lil' boots! Cowboy boots? Why... it may take a herd of those lil' booger's to make a pair but if we all pool together I bet we can get enough up there to ya! Ya think???

Hugs

He is beautiful. Green is my favorite color and he has many shades of it. And that's the best close up of a butt that I've seen yet! lol

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Konkrete thankyou, from now on when I see a worm butt I'll think of you. :) lol!

This is the two compared , newbie on the left and wormie on the right. A noticeable difference in colors. Both have 7 stripes. One has a red tail the other has a mostly green tail.

I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not. lol! What are they eating at your house? I haven't seen any this year, but that does not mean they aren't here. Usually I find them on my Pentas, but they're not growing big this year.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

I just found what he was eating, your Brugs! I went over there to post and saw your thread. I've never seen tiny hornworms until I saw your pic. I think that's what was eating mine last week! I took them off and tossed them into my flower bed tho, so now I will go check those Pentas when it less than 100 outside.

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

I have one here in Tennessee. I'll put him in an envelope and get him in the mail....How many do you think it will take for your boots??? ROTFL

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

He is old and tough, I think he is ready for the boots.
He gets so tired of me making fun of the smile on his butt and now you say he has a Sharpei, I'm for sure not going to let him read any of this. It will forever warp his little mind, which ever end it is in!!

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Does wormie snore? How can you tell he is sleeping?

Put a call into State Farm... they hung up on me?? I thought they were suppose to be friendly and there in times of need ???

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

He lays on his right side when he is sleeping. He lays on his left side when he has a tummy ache. He lays on his back when he wants his tummy scratched. He lays on his tummy when he is hungry. And no he does not snore cause I don't think he has a nose! Aha! Another project! Come on sweetie ... lift your little head so mommy can blow your nose :)

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

ROFLMBO VICKI, HORSEWOMAN AND PICABO!!!!!!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

You wanna talk about poo? Look at this picture of him. He has been hanging there for hours in the hot sun ... pooing all over himself. His hind end is gross.
He has definitely slowed down the eating process since yesterday. I'll just betcha he is getting ready to drop and bury himself.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

But if he drops do not fear
Baby hornworm is already here!
What cheer!
Oh dear! ... another mouth to feed.

AWWWWWWWWWWW

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

I talked to State & Farm Insurance and they will write a policy for shipping but has LOTS of ifs
It doesn't cover if death is caused by any of the following.
Old age (over 2 days)
Overeating
Undereating
Being eaten
Having an important part bit off and spit out because it tasted soooo bad. uck!!
Being squashed by a hammer
Being squashed by anything
Falling and going SPLAT!
Being smushed in the mail because you were being shipped far, far away to be made into boots
Failing to get therapy because you were depressed that people made fun of your little Sharpie thinger
Being made into boots.

I guess I won't be shipping him. Besides that he has children... In fact there is a entire football team out there.

LOLOLOLOL Betty!

Aberdeen, NC

OH, that is gross. He needs a little sprinkler system where he can wash off !! Now how can he expect to attract the ladies covered in poo??? At least you can tell which end his head is, now......
You are going to have to start charting the family tree! It is so easy to loose track of important family members. I would definately think about getting him registered in the AWC and if they don't already have one in your area, starting one up.
Hmmm, does that mean you would have to have shows with different classes? obedience, agility, conformation Oh, and then there is getting a judge that is fair and knowing what to look for...

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

Agility now that is gonna be a real contest. The little guys "Hang by their toes"!!!

Mine only seem to have a bush. I don't think they could make a family tree.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Now now Picabo....as long as it FORKS right? lol!!!!!! Need a Family Tree with a Fork!

Nashville, TN(Zone 6b)

Looking at my Tomato plant, neither one of us are going to need a fork. Not much left to eat. He is going to starve and he will be the last fork in his tree, and I get no Tomatoes ...LOL LOL

Aberdeen, NC

What a riot !! Too funny !!!!!! Those little buggers are multiplying awful fast, hope he hasn't eaten everything up to his demise.. You might have to put him on life support !
