Interesting site, great idea's & recipes.....

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

check out this URL: http://www.kountrylife.com/contents.htm , there are many interesting ideas ---- such as "Growing potatoes in a wire cage" ........ I think I'll try that next spring. I ran across this site while looking to see if anyone else besides me had ideas on making your own tumbling compost bin, they are too expensive to buy, I think I can figure out how to make my own!

If you figure out how to make a compost bin, please let me know. I want one but there is NO way I can afford one. I have been searching for ideas also :)

janis, the one I saw at a local garden center looked loke nothing but a couple of large planters stuck together and on a 'spinning' stand,I think they wanted $150.00, I'll think of something and post it this fall, we always have a ton of leaves.

thanks so much. Our soil is so poor, nothing grows, I would love to compost just to improve the soil. Think I"m gonna do the newspapers over all the beds this fall
