Great pictures, Gordon! Really like the variety of things growing in the last picture. Your Bleeding Heart vine is beautiful. What is the big white flowered one? I also noticed you have a epi hiding amongst all the vines. Has it bloomed for you this summer and what color is it?

Vossner .. Thanks we'll see if there are some other cityscape views for you
RUK... well thanks ... yes it has been hot... with the temps of only 85* F.. I can record 145* F on the roof surface... which is why the few dozen plumeria do so well ..plumeria enjoy a hot root zoneand we've a dozen or so inflos started on them now FINALLY...
MZMunchken.. well thanks... there is alot of will involved .. water and ferts.. ..where are they overwintered.. is that an offer off FL space... HA HA OH they come down and live with me inside.. some are dormant ..most alive and kicking...
Bward... well thanks alot.. yes.. there are a few dozen brugs.. of diffrent types... having a bit of trouble with my shredded white.. it seems to be a mass of flower that never opens to be shredded.. but all the others are behaveing themselves... a real headdy aromatic evening with hundreds of blooms going at once...
PerennialGirl.. well thanks... see the first post for the ID of the flowers there... no.. the night blooming cereus hasn't bloomed this year yet... for the first few years I had it it would only bloom if I left on vacation... not it graces me with blooms when I'm around... and sometimes in the winter when it comes inside..

Well thanks so much there Carol... they do bring me great pleasure.. and when some of the picturs/colors POP it is so rewarding...
I'd lik to thank you also.... some of that great variety of plant materal is due to the efforts of grand gardners like yourself... unselfishly shareing .. in fact ..welll you couldn't see it from the roof.. but I have some Tacca seedlings I hear I have you to thank for .. so thanks... i did unfortunately not understand them ... and thought they might like a bit of afternoon sun.. [ untill it died..] But no.. no direct sun at all... for the Tacca's.. So.. how long before I see that amaising flower ... now that I've one up and going.. any other tips for it...
All the best there ... Gordon ok one more picture MG's and the city

Ah, the joys of gardening in the City. I remember as a kid, we lived on the 18th floor of a 20 story building in Brooklyn. We were one of the fortunate ones and had a balcony. I remember one year my mom and grandmother set up a greenhouse from some wood and plastic garbage bags. We were the only ones I knew of that had fresh homegrown tomatoes, peppers, and beans in the dead of winter with a foot of snow on the ground. I had no idea what we really had until now as an adult. I guess kids dont really care what they have until the either grow up or dont have it any more.
