I read Dave's post, No more new members!
That doesn't mean a DG'er store is down or gone.

The answer can be found under daves garden forum:

No, I'm not planning to bring ScifStore back.

I've been managing that system for almost 3 years now and it has benefitted a very small amount of people. There are only about 6 stores that are actually doing any reasonable sales (others get a sale or two every month, if they're lucky). It's just not a very used feature and I don't want to take any new members. Existing stores, of course, are welcome to continue using it for as long as they want but I'm just not taking new ones.

Any existing ScifStore user that needs help can feel free to email me directly at [e-mail:dave@standardout.com]. I don't want to use DG for support, however.

Killing ScifStore (and myzf.com, by the way) will free me up to spend more time on DG.

thanks Charlie i didn't know. got many refaerrals this afternnon to my store from this thread, so found the info. my store will do better when i advertise more & add more varieties. so far, everyone satisfied!

yes, my site is taking new members (FREE). looks like i won't be starting a myz forum now though.

Dave, we need you to focus on what you think is best. Anyone who loves your site supports whatever decisions you make. i realize that starting new stores & the free trainig you give does take a lot of time. hope you are keeping the homeschooler site.

hope more visitors to my scifstore will become members. when my one-handed typing gets better its time for an Organic Growing newsletter hinthint

No, we took down the homeschool site, too. We were in over our head with all these projects and we needed to downsize.

It feels good to throw things away sometimes. ;-)

I don't do enough sales in my store that it matters if you take it down.

Delightful, all your work!

My original interest was we sell some of tha same stuff.
Most of ours is at tha produce stand.

Of-course we don't slave over tha hot stoves as a real cook does, and make it homemade as you do.
Jus gotta be better that way. Good good & better!

High regards to ya
