I think they are all lovely! Pink blooms are better than no blooms for sure! One of the seedlings I grew from your seed finally has buds. I'll let you know how it turns out. LOL

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

LOL Ladies.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I have another blooming today, guess what color it is??? There are two more seedlings with buds.
I will keep these, they're in the flowerbeds so ripping them out would leave a hole.

Do you get the dark pinks where you are Susie? I would think so with all that humidity but I never see you post them.

You have found the new dominant brug gene Susie, PINK! LOL

Kell, I'm working on my own line of pink from seed brugs, like marigolds and petunias grown from seed! If I could just figure out how to make them bloom in 6 weeks from sowing I'd be doing good! I even crossed salmon with pink and got pink, go figure, lol.
Kell, the nursery was right about your hibiscus and geez, how many emails did you send in the middle of the night, I still haven't gotten thru them all!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Thats great news about the hibiscus Kell
and susie
I like the l'amour wannabe

I've got a few buds on one of your EP crosses.....

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I bet it will be pink, lol. Post a pic when it flowers. I need to make an entry in my journal here, all of my pinks. Wonder how many there are out there? Wonder how many look exactly alike?
YOur First Day(it doesn't look like my pinks, it's got big outfacing flowers) is blooming again, that's one tough brug!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

They were right???? It is normal? I do not have a fatal disease???? You are the only one I know that knows so much about fungicides. I needed your expert opinion before I bought one. Is it my fault that place had 100 of them? LOL

So it is flowering yesterday and today, hard to believe it has a deadly disease. So does it or doesn't it?? You never got back to me when you checked your hibiscus. I am in distress.

Kell, what is the name of that hib. I have one similar that I got from Logees, Edna Boegert. Died after one season, suspect root problem. They replaced and it seems to be going the same way. leaves look very chlorotic. I had bought this hib. to plant underneath a crape myrtle (picture attached) and I haven't been able to complete my scheme 'cause hib. is bailing on me. What kind of disease are they supposed to have?

Kell, I posted above, but it got lost in the other stuff. Your hibiscus is normal, the softwood is turning to hardwood.

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Wanted to add this to your thread - 2nd blooming from your seed from last summer. It is ET/Bert, and I love it!
The scent is the strongest of all my Brugs - including vers orange, and you are first attracted by a whiff of orange, like the color, that deepens into a soft perfume.
Here is the bud:

Ohh..Look at those tendrils!! Love it!!

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Here it is open this morning.
The blooms are nodding to the side - something I prefer, and the orange is so rich.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

That is so pretty Polly!! I really like it.

Grab that hydrangea Polly, I love hydrangeas too. LOL I was just looking at a variegated one at Lowes. I was wishing it was in flower so I could check it out.

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Lordy, Kell - are you going to send me to Lowes for them, today!!! (It's too hot)
8 ft - I promise to send you a cutting;
Cala, a second seedling from the same batch is close to blooming; am eager to see the results of that one, too (Another shot of the ist day bloom)

Polly, I'm in love, LOOK at those tendrils!!!! Wowser!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh shoot Polly, now I am thinking I need to go back quick and buy it. It was a big plant and so robust. The variegation was so very attractive. I was so proud of myself for looking and leaving. LOL. I am so pathetic.

Your brug is great Polly. And a yellow too!

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm heading home now and will post a pic of goods to come.

It's probably big enough to slice in half if Polly wants to share. ;)
