TL's ....I just learned about this from an elderly friend. I think it is a wonderful thing to promote.

a compliment that I heard about you that I offer to trade for a compliment you have heard about me. For example, I am talking to your former boss who says how much she enjoyed working with you and misses your feedback at staff meetings. So I tell you I have a TL for you. Now you can either give me one that you have heard of me or you can "owe me" one. Another one you can trade or give are "personnals". Example: you looked wonderful at the party last night or I admire the way you handle that situation with your in laws. My dear friend, who is 85, says she can remember her grandmother TL'ing her mother. It is such a positive and good system to work, esp. in a family.

Oh! Now that makes sense. Yes, that is a great thing to promote. It sure does make you feel good when you hear something nice someone said about you when you weren't even there!
