WOW Blaine - what a Tour! Beautiful garden - great pics! sigh....wish I was there to stroll among your plants - but this was a treat nonetheless.

Awesome .... !

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Such a treat to stroll (scroll) thru your garden, Blaine. The P & C is absolutely gorgeous; mine is dallying away at 2 ft.
Your Potato vine is really on its way!
LAst fall when I dug out the pot contaning one. I found huge, red "yams" that I used to fill in a hole from an uprooted tree. Last week a healthy vine appeared, and it is moving fast. HAve to train it daily. They sure add a nice color contrast.

Denver, CO

Ditto the AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Can see why you got hooked on the "brugs"---good job.
Phlox and butterflies, what a picture---wonderful way to start a Sunday morning. smile

Otis, CO

WOW once again, you have blew me away!!!! P/C is such a beauty and loves to show off HUH?But a blue hibiscus? did not even know they had that color, man am I in the dark ages or what? Butterflies were really doing their thing the phlox must be really sweet to flit around.

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Forevermorr turned pink overnight. Hopefully I get a good shot of her this evening and man that side of the house is going to smell good with her and Dr. Seuss both lit up.
thanks all

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Blaine - it's hard to tell on those variegated ones. Someone told me they thought mine was a Maya (and we were hoping). But it is so slow growing - you should see it compared to my other Brugs - it's a real shrimp. I don't think mine is a Maya. I think mine is P & C from what I've read. I'd hoped for Maya but oh well. At least it's healthy - shows very little stress.

There's really not any yellow in this rose (American Heritage). Stupid camera but I still appreciate her blooming stomped in under the apples.

I've always wished I could grow agave and cactus up here besides the prickly pear. I found some that are supposed to be hardy here. We'll see.

Forevermorr with another Dr.Seuss in the back. This is FM 2nd day and has turned colors. I'm hoping something with introduce them at night and I'll get pods!!

variegated olonethera (sp). Camera chokes again on white in bright light but at least you can still see the blue eye and variegated foliage.

Another PC shot.
I'm really confused with PC and Maya now. Second day Maya from Kell doesn't have the pink flush but otherwise the flowers look pretty much the same and certainly the foliage is about the same.

dwarf cleome I planted several years ago.. It travels around the yard better than anything else but she's not a thug and just likes the party.

May be Casa Blanca - whatever you want to call it, it does wonders for the nose.. especially with some phox in the near vicinity.
edited to say - there's another dwarf cleome horning in on the right. Always wants to be in the limelight. Ha!

Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful, Blaine. Your yard is full of blooms.

Boy did I miss some things being gone this weekend! Gorgeous pics Blaine! I am sooo jealous!!

You have such a variety of plants! I loved looking at them all.

Where is Zion, located?

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

thanks alll...

North of Chicago on the WI border.
I missed most of the daylily show or shot with digital in full sun so the blooms were washed out and I had to toss the pics. Cannas are starting to bloom and it looks like I'm going to have a steady parade of brugs now. Then come the various mums sedum.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Hey Blaine! There's a new Snatchin' thread! Don't get left off the bus!!

I was so impressed with my first dahlia last year, I ordered a few more.
Now I'm really in a pickle because how can I not continue to lift and overwinter things like this.

Brugaddict cross getting closer to greeting the world. This morning it's actually a darker yellow but because of the parents maybe it'll then go some shade of pink.

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Thank you everyone for sharing my flowers with me!
I realized last night the only thing I'm missing is some serious gardeners (or nuts) on the block so I could we could share daily walks. I guess it's being isolated in this 'gardener drought' area that makes me want to share with someone.

That all came last night while hating to go inside while PC and a ReneeO cross along with nicotiana was perfuming the doorstep.

8ft I haven't had very good luck with dahalias. Perhaps, I had not amended the soil as well there as I do for my daylilies. I really baby my hosta and dls.
I tried a deep red one with white tips.
Any suggestions for one that stays about 3 ft tall?

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

Blaine, IM pretty new this this forum but taking the time to go all through your pictures just makes me want to grow more flowers...lolol..just ask my husband if i am addicted..Ive got a small back yard and there just isnt much more room to add plants unless I take all the walking space away..thank you for sharing your plants with us...Judy

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Judy, you could go vertical! I love Morning Glories, clematis, moon vine, ect. LOL

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

glad you enoy them Judy. Thats my hopes in posting. :)

I dunno Blue... between 3-4' is about when mine start budding up. If you've got lots of foliage and they're blooming for you then I guess they're ok. Otherwise.. more sun and more groceries!! The ones with the most sun (dahlias and otherwise) always get bigger for me. Last year, one of my originals was in a pot that didn't get a lot of direct sun. It got up to 4' but never bloomed.
Vertical is good!! Gotta have clematis and a few sunflowers and other things that shoot for the stars.

I would never have believed your garden, if I had not viewed it with my own eyes, it is lovely and I cannot imagine you getting all of those spiffy frames in the yard of one home. Looks like it would take acres for all of your fantastic flowers, the only thing I miss is the fragrance and sometimes I think I get a whiff or two...
