http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/518206/ : Summer bubbler alternative... tour by request
Figured it was getting slow for dialups (Hi Mom!!! - aka lizziestoy)
There's pics from this morning closing that one out.
This afternoon I finally strapped on a tripod to clear up these digital shots a little. I still get better quality with my old SLR.
One of the phlox around the street tree is feeling blue..
.... and more tour by request (pt2)
Found this at the base of one of the Bing cherries. From bulblets I threw there last fall.
The pic isn't very clear but you can see how that color and pattern snagged my attention down there in the shade. And yes... there's a fine specimen of dandelion leaf I noticed in the picture.

Ok.. another pink.
One of my volunteer Cleome. I noticed this year that on a few of them, the petals are pink when they first emerge then go to white. The originals that I planted were solid white and I thought a solid kind of lavendar color. That's been 5 or 6 years ago though. It's been nothing but volunteers since. They're about the most photogenic flower there is though, even if the foliage does smell like someone goosed the skunk!
(when planted in mass)
Oh, my goodness, that varigated pink impatient is so pretty.
And the "popping pink" Peace rose is magnificent!!!!!!
Love it allllllllll------
Nice show Blaine. Thanks for taking care of us dial-ups. Jeanette
always wanted to be 'Queen for a day'
Your Garden is looking so colorful Blaine. Just as colorful as the Gardener who takes care of it! It's been a joy walking through your path of grass and plantings. !(even though it's a cyberspace walk)!
Must have been a joy having Sydney actually be there for the in person tour. Glad you started part 2 of the tour. And your surrounded by Women in Pink I see...LOL that Kell is too MUCH.
With coffee in hand, what a wonderful tour, In the Garden!!!

Such a trip!
What a tripper - glad to be a tripee!
Too much!
LOL that doesn't look anything as good looking as Blaine. But I bet he wishes he could have that Harram surrounding him though lol
Your garden is beautiful! Love that Clematis vine in bloom!!! Which one is it? Your Phlox paniculata is really putting on a show, along with your lovely Roses! You've been workin' hard.....it shows!!!
I'll pass... I just wouldn't feel special when 1/2 the crew had harrier backs than I did and the other half was trying to borrow my nose trimmer.
~~~~~~
thks Shirley but unfortunately I don't know who the blue girl is. I think I've put 5 or 6 different clematis around that tree over the years and think I did it before I was trying to track what I planted. I'll try and look back through journals tonight and see if I can find anything.
