OMG! : )

I have dihydrogen monoxide/saline solution leaking out of my eyes after reading that.

LOL!

Zoinks! Just goes to show you, everything is made up of chemicals. Well, everything except me, because I'm pure as the driven snow.

No, wait, snow is made up of dihydrogen monoxide. I'm doomed.

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

Yeah, there's DHMO in snow, for sure.

{Edited to add ...} - Ooh... no! Not chemicals! Those things are bad for you! Gotta stay away from all chemicals at all costs. :)

I guess that leaves out those brain chemicals too.

I have never heard of this thing before. I guess no more of that for me! If it is in MOST of our streams, oceans etc. then what is in the "others". HMMMMmmmmmm....... Now I'm thirsty!

(edited so I don't ruin it for all the others)

Oh man ... you gave away what it really is! shoot! That ruins half of the fun!

Oh well... :)

You know what's really insiduous? It's in the air. And it falls to the earth.

I know we've been dodging the dihydrogen monoxide-drops today.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL! That is TOO funny!

Denver, CO(Zone 6a)

Okay, I edited the post so there. You guys are crazier than I am.

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

:) My real reason for putting this up was to remind everybody that, *everything* is a chemical. There's always this "behind the scenes" fears that chemicals are all poison, and should be avoided.

So, yes, some chemicals are bad. But some are great!

Let's all go roll in some silicon dioxide, dead plants & decomposed animals ... UM.. Dirt sounds so gross when it's described as a "chemical". Maybe I'll go find some starchy complex-carbohydrate sticks fried in unsatuated fatty acids and douse them in sodium chloride instead.

:) Okay Okay! I'll stop! But it is fun to be a chemist,

Okay, I had no trouble with dihydrogen monoxide, but I had to look up SiO2! Guess high school chem was too long ago, I'll meet you at the beach instead!

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

What a disapointment for the "organic" purists. Now that they can no longer apply DHMO to their plants they're screwed!

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

LOL!

You are right about how you can make anything look bad by tying it to something else. You can make statistics the same way. What I hate is that they say the divorce rate is 50%. Well they only take all the new marriages in a year and all the divorces in that year. If say 100 couple got married and 50 couples got divorced than the rate is 50%. What about the people that got married before that year and aren't getting a divorce? It doesn't even take that into consideration. You can't believe anything. And none of that dihyrogenatied whatever for me! Just soda from now on - that doesn't have that stuff in it, does it?

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

Hey! That stuff can't be all bad...they make beer with it
