the clothes ARE clean.
Araness, I use paint shop pro to make the collages. I just paste them all in a big empty canvas and crop it down to size.

Araness, that is beautiful!!! :-) I love the chef painted on your wall! And what a cute dog. :-) (At least he isn't hiding in the garden! LOLOL)

And you should be proud! Gotta remember I've been flying for two years now and it was slow going, I fall off the wagon lots and I am no where as strict with the routines as I was the first year. Heck for a year you could eat off my floors. I wish I had pictures of the way I our old apartment looked. I am so ashamed to even tell you how bad I was..Dishes stayed in the sink for days (no dishwasher) and I was known to toss a pan cause I just didn't think I could get it clean after days in the sink. I use to have paths in our bedroom cause of all the stuff on the floor. Our living room was terrible since that's where we spent so much time. Old mail, shoes, etc on every surface. It was one of those deals that I would peek out the window before I opened the door cause I didn't want anyone to see the inside of the house.

Saint

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

I would do the peek thing but my kids won't be quiet LOL someone knocks and they run to open it LOL monsters.

I've been flying on and off for about 3 years I guess, but I really fell off a year ago, and now I"m trying again.

Your kitchen looks so great!!

Janis

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Crop...paintshop...humm ok I'll try it..

Nope it's just started to rain here (like it rained in Houston yesterday) and big chicken that she is she's now hiding behind the Momma.

Jeez Marylyn it would be cheaper for you to drive the hour and a half or so here to buy the shoes. If you are ever headed this way on I-10 S&M is very easy to find.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

It was me with the shoes Saint LOL and I ain't drivin to TX to buy shoes LMAO

Janis

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

LOL..well yeah, might be a stretch for you...but hey what size do ya wear I'll keep an eye and and if I find a pair I'll send em.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

41 narrow, but they have to have adjustable straps. I'd love that tho :) Thanks so very much!!
I'll d mail you the ones I have LOL so I don't get duplicates, and we'll figure out shipping and stuff ok?? I really appreciate it

Janis

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Neat...I wish S&M had a website so you could see the types of things they have and brands. It's all super cheap, new or dept store returns WITH tags. Lots of Italian shirts etc for men. Has everything from Worthington shoes, Kenneth Cole, Birks, Steve Madden, Liz, E.B. White (men) Sebago etc. If you watch you can catch 200.00 shoes on sale for 10.00 but most of the time the going price is around 25.00-30.00

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

OMG that is awesome. We have a place that sells factory seconds and ripped torn, stained stuff like that, alot of it comes with tags. I get lots of Victoria's Secret there for less than 5 bucks usually. Its called Gabrielle Brothers, and they are only in OH, PA and WV as far as I know. No website either.
You jsut got to look at the stuff to make sure it isn't ruined. Alot of stuff can be fixed or there is nothing noticably wrong with it. :)

Janis
Hey take your digital to the store LOL

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

oh here is my dining room :) We do eat in here lol

Mine never gets used...we always eat at the kitchen table. I tell my DH that I hate eating in our DR cause I feel like we are in a Las Vegas Bordello.

excuse the chair with the seat messed up...I swear as soon as I'm not chicken I'm gonna cover it! The fabric cost me 34.00 bucks a yard and I am sooo freaked I'm going to make a screw up.

Tombaak I love your floor. I want tile in my kitchen and downstairs bath.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

there is too much stuff on my kitchen table...... although I'm working on it. It is better than it was, you can see the table top in parts now.

Gonna do 15 minutes on my desk it is a major hot spot

Janis

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

My hotspot is on my side of the bed, I haven't picked out nightstands yet cause I'm not real fond of the "style" our bedroom is in so I'm using a cherry TV stand. I have to force myself to do 15 min a day or it piles up fast. I can't wait till I can talk the DH into letting me get rid of all this cherry early american style furniture and go with something I like more.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

I just bought bedroom furniture in 2001. Mine is a cinnamon finish I love it. Its very heavy, a 4 poster king sized bed. I need to get another nightstand, but I cna't justify 150$ for it right now

Janis

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

oh here is my desk after 15 minutes, not done but SO much better, at least you can see the (dirty) top LOL

What we have isn't that old, a king size headboard (can't have a footboard cause we have a craftmatic) a large cherry entertainment center. I'd toss all of it in a sec if he'd let me replace it. But since both are good quality and cost an arm and a leg he's being a meanie about it. I was trying to talk him into a few things at IKEA this weekend but he kept saying "This stuff is cheap" never could figure out if he thought it was cheaply made or if he was amazed at the prices. *sigh* men! I saw on a Trading Spaces type show a padded headboard and fell in love so I want to sponge the wall, have a padded headboard, two squared off cushy chairs a bench at the end of the bed and a desk upstairs for me to put my "work" computer on.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

I saw the padded headboard on TS too, wasn't it awesome? I'd love to do something like that

Janis

I'll post pics of the BR later got to start dinner or Jeff is gonna be home with nothing to eat LOL

Kernersville, NC(Zone 7a)

If you guys aren't already members of it, check out Freecycle! There are chapters all over the US and the mailing lists run through Yahoo Groups. http://freecycle.org

It makes decluttering so much easier...You just send an OFFER: e-mail to the group, and people reply. I can't tell you how much easier it was for me to get rid of stuff knowing it was going to someone who'd use it. And, best yet, the people came to MY house and picked it up from my front porch. I just had stuff in boxes or bags labeled with the peoples' names.

If I hadn't worn it in a year, out it went. If I hadn't used it in my kitchen in six months, out it went. I'm working on only keeping kitchen items that multitask -- if it only does one thing, chances are it's not worth keeping in my limited cabinet space.

I've received pond fish, a wonderful dog for my MIL, pond plants, jeans, a Mr. Coffee ice tea maker, T-Fal deep fryer, antiques, and other nice things...all for free.

Just make sure you give away more than you receive from members, LOL!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I love freecycle...I got two bookcases in pretty good shape.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

One of the office staff from our vet's just called to tell me how much she and the rest of the girls loved Hannah (the dog we just got for my MIL - http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/537351/ ) and wanting more info about Freecycle. ;)

Kernersville, NC(Zone 7a)

I am back, all in one piece lol. I am so proud, we got half of it cleared out, buncha junk.

I think I will rejoin freecycle, I have a lot of useful junk too:)

Rachel, you are definitely 'queen' -- what ?DID? you do with it all? That's my problem, storage., of things I want to keep that don't really have a place.

Of course, that's what we're all talkin' about ain't it? LOL
